MSNBCs Rachel Maddow lambasted Newt Gingrichs speech in Florida tonight, criticizing him for singling out President Obamas singing. Newt Gingrich brought back the food stamps president thing and then tonight, he went to President Obama ought to stop singing, ought to stop being the Entertainer-in-Chief. Sort of caricaturing him in a way that calls out to minstrelsy!
Hes going after a southern mentality, and racial allusions, always wrapped around when he refers to the president, when he talks about this food stamp stuff, MSNBC anchor Rev. Al Sharpton observed. These are Newt Gingrich is many things, stupid is not one of them. He knows exactly what hes saying, he knows exactly who hes playing to, when you look at that map, when you deal with the northern border of Florida, which is southern Alabama, he knows what card hes playing.
Watch the MSNBC panelists call Gingrich out below:

I’m white. I am wearing white tennis shoes.
Your point is well taken.
/heavy and deep seated sarcasm
Reflecting her own racism. Her interpretation. The way her mind works is clear to see who the racist is.
When I play pool, I try to avoid pocketing the 8-ball until it’s the last one on the table, does that make me a racist too?
I watched his speech tonight.
He mentioned Obama’s name, but I’m pretty sure he was mocking Romney also, since Romney’s been singing, too.
“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”
Love, your friendly racist *gak* Grammie
Who even remembers seeing a black slave minstrel any more in the USA? Obama should send that person a congratulation for being the oldest man or woman in the USA.
Democrats call everything racist, particularly any criticism or mockery of them. Of course, when they are mocking Republicans, it is just good ole fun in their book.
Who even remembers today what a minstrel was? Gingrich is doubtless thinking rapper.
Donald Trump told Greta the other night that if you criticize Obama you are a racist. No need to expect otherwise. Look at Juan Williams finding racism under every rock. Too bad.
Racism isn’t what she’s after. It’s just more of the same stuff they did to him after he wrecked their world. Every writer of every paper of every magazine of every news show and every democrat accused Newt everyday of some vile thing with no let up. I saw it, it was horrible. This is just more of the same. They hate him.
And they hate us...
Oh, yes. Some of are hated more, conservative AND Christian.
Yep...ya got THAT right!
“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”
They have the government, the media, the courts, the schools, they have your money, and we have a picture of George crossing the Delaware. And it’s hanging crooked. We are no longer citizens, we have been made out to be insurgents. So be it.
We got our red necks. Be proud of that neck. Stick it out and show it. Red necks come in other colors too, though the ill of racial parochialism unfortunately limits the participation. But men and women of common sense and good will of any color can have red necks.
It’s going to have to be a red neck revolution. That or the country dies.
“In matters of style, swim with the current;
In matters of principle, stand like a rock.”
I find her despicable.
Who do these fools think are watching their shows? Do they actually think they’re going to sway a voter?
By the way, Hannity! Why don’t you promise you’ll have your good friend Al Sharpton back on Fox if he ever loses his gig at msnbc. I HATE YOU HANNITY, YOU PHONY PIECE OF .....! YOU GAVE THE WORLD....SHARPTON!

What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?
Whoops. I thought you were giving up.
Why does this need to be in the blasted “Smoky Backroom” anyhow? Maddow is not being mis-reported here. No bathroom language is being used. Newt, at the very very worst, has only chosen language vague enough to be purposely misunderstood, and needs to come back with a clarification that socks Obama in the nose “if you want, you can say it’s opera, you can say it’s rap, you can say it’s jive — whatever type of music you say it is, it is bovine excrement.”
Has set back race relations back years.
IMHO, Maddow is just one step above a carney geek. With about the same size audience.
Anyone who is called a racist should not try to deflect it by saying they are not but ask the person doing the accusing to PROVE it or shut up.
That’s how you know you won a debate against a liberal is when they start calling you names.
These people play the same one note over and over. Soon, we won’t be able to do anything without being branded racist. Which is what petty dictators like Maddow want.
The last one I saw was Ted Danson.
Rachel Madcow and Al “The Graft Zeppelin” Sharpton? it’s a matter of mind over matter. I don’t take their blathering seriously because they don’t matter!
When in doubt—use race card. they use it because it works. It shuts up all opposition and it works like a charm. But, what happens when the evil dragon of racism comes back to life, really? what happens when over use makes these charges worthless? It can happen. What happens when being a racist is seen as a positive—as it once was? If some star or diva joined the KKK how many young people would follow them? Antisemitism is coming out from under the Nazi rock—how long until anti-black ideas surface? Obama is a good example—a poster child of ineptitude. I fear he may well have undone the good work of Martin Luther King and those who died for civil rights.
And the elephant (figuratively — and not meant to stand for the GOP) in the room is that racial parochialism is not a “white” ill. It is a human ill. Whites today tend to get slammed more about it, but you can have the nastiest black, red, and yellow racists too. Reasoning, and ridicule where reasoning fails, is about the only way to address such folly.
While King himself had a number of foibles (he was a troublesome horndog, and in later years he leaned uncomfortably to nanny government philosophies), at least on paper he did dedicate himself to the ideal of racial equality. And for those words, whether borrowed or original, he does deserve kudos for voicing them and meaning it.
Racial parochialism is difficult to pull free of. That’s why I say “rednecks” come in many colors. (And in some accounts of the origin of the “redneck,” such as union miners in the early 1900s when treatment of workers was truly inhumane and unions had a valid role, the symbol, typically a red bandanna, was shared by men of all races.)
"Objective" journalists and "liberals" talk in code continuously, and accuse Republicans of doing so when in fact Republicans do not do so.
