Is a Paulian putsch being planned for the Republican National Convention?
Newt Gingrich has warned that Republican leaders have not thought through “how they’re going to handle the convention in Tampa, and how they’re going to handle the Ron Paul forces.” The New York Sun reported that “what Mr. Gingrich seems to be worried about is the delegates that Congressman Paul is winning through his strategy of dealing with state conventions. The former speaker had just come from the convention at Georgia, where … the ‘Ron Paul people’ were out in force.”
I have been receiving alarming emails concerning an underhanded, anti-American Ron Paul coup that is being plotted for the GOP convention.
From Virginia: “I’m running for delegate to the RNC convention in Tampa. There is a serious Paulbot infestation in the GOP here in Virginia. I’m spending a lot of time at GOP apparatchik meetings. I’ve gotten the endorsement of the Conservative Coalition (I was the top vote-getter), and usually that is enough but not this cycle.”
And this came in from a reader of my website AtlasShrugs.com out West: “There is a very interesting situation going on behind the scenes in the Republican Party state caucuses, and the MSM is not reporting it. Ron Paul’s followers have taken control of the Republican state committees in Nevada, Alaska, Iowa, Maine and Louisiana and working for more control in upcoming meetings. They have stolen delegates to the upcoming Republican National Convention away from Mitt Romney by following some technical rules.”

The use of the word putsch is well intended by WND as a slap tp ROn Paul and his followers. WHile one might disagree with his policies, he IS following the rules laid down by the RNC in securing delegates on the state level. More power to him and it should make for an interesting convention

According to two sources from the unofficial "Ron Paul" convention, at last count 31 of 44 delegates and alternates that could be confirmed were Ron Paul supporters..If this is true, MI needs some serious rule changes if this is possible. Or just cancel primary elections and go to backroom fighting.
Not that I like Paul (hint: I don’t), but do you have any hard evidence to back your claim of dementia?

My experience is that most Paul supporters have projected onto him what they want him to be, not who he actually is.

If he’s got to take it I don’t want Romney to just take it in a walk. He needs to be reminded - constantly - that there are a heck of a lot of conservatives who are very uncomfortable with him and that he’s not going to go back-to-Massachussetts on us if he’s elected. If Paul is good for anything he may be good for that.

In order to get the options opened up for other candidates at the Convention, we need to have Paul keep enough delegates from Roney.

Anyone can get on the reporting agency’s website, look at the donations and see for themselves, the claim is simply not true.
My bad. I haven’t heard Paul since the debates. I certainly don’t seek out his public speaking events. But claiming dementia without a diagnosis seems a bit over the line to me. Paul should not be president because a number of his key policy positions disqualify him, not because he rambled a few times in public. IMHO.
That was my implication.
I worked nursing homes for 17 years and I've seen a lot, have a son in the medical profession, I've learned a lot and at age of 69 I feel a lot!!! and the body slows down, regardless if we want it to or not! and at 80 the brains cells diminish.
have you seen Ron Paul in the past several months, out campaigning for this job of President he wants, does he really, really want it? He should be out and about daily, proving he wants this job..a job with tremendous responsibility, that takes a sharp brain to deal with it,I don't believe he has the energy to do that. and his handlers keep him under wrap so he won't make a verbal mistake and let the MSM get on to him, so they are protecting him.
Ron Paul has only certain subjects he will talk about, he has not proven his worth to this voter..and I will repeat, the aging process has taken over Ron Paul..
