NEWBURY PARK — Complaints poured in Monday about a 10-foot-high wooden structure and neon sign in a quiet Newbury Park neighborhood that says “Romney’s Racist Heart Dotcom. Save the GOP.”
“It’s obnoxious. It’s an eyesore here. I wish it was gone,” said one neighbor.
Steven Showers, 59, built the display after doing research into Mormonism after it became apparent that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney would get the Republican nomination for president, according to the Ventura County Star.
“I love it. It’s the way I designed it,” Showers said.

I dunno about that but the way Fox News keeps on saying Mormons are Christians are pushing me to not vote for Romney. Call Romney a Mormon and leave it at that but when they start to re-define what it means to be Christian, I’m not going to support that.
That guy will be a big hit around here.
I am not sure Steven Showers is enough of an historian to be able to study Morman doctrine on blacks in the context of history.
Is this even legal? I’m sure Maryland has pretty strict zoning enforcement. BTAIM this will probably INCREASE votes for Romney. “If an annoying ahole is against him then I am for him.”

The Mormon’s do have a history of racism, but I don’t know that I would paint Romney with that same brush, unless he has given us reason to.
Romney has given us many other reasons not to like him. But if someone has evidence of Romney being racist, please share.

According to Showers’ website, the following ideology is “embedded” in Mormon doctrine: “White skin indicates a pure character before God. Anything less than white skin indicates a corruption of character before God. Black skin, according to Mormon Doctrine, is an indicator of the worst corruption of character before God.”

Let's set aside the fact that this clown cannot possibly know if Mitt Romney has a "racist heart." If he is actually claiming that he can read Romney's innermost thoughts, his mental illness is a given.
But say that he really "knows" this and is "telling the truth."
The amount of obsessive focus it would take to plan and build this bizarre front yard display shows that this guy has an unhealthy fascination with Romney and a sociopathic disregard for his neighbors.
Then let's step aside, enter the real world of adults, and acknowledge that the main problems with Romney are not some kind of theoretical racism he may or may not harbor, but his actual stated policy positions and track record.

I don't have to "get use to it" and I sure as hell don't have to vote for it either.
I'm not sure they all do. I believe some are known to have sex with boys. And there may even be rules for such behavior in their scriptures.
