Skip to comments.Interview with Virgil Goode: How Do We Elevate Constitutional Principles?
Posted on 08/29/2012 6:46:58 AM PDT by xzins
...Virgil Goode has long supported a bill to audit the Federal Reserve, which recently cleared the House. He advocates currency that is real and backed by gold or silver.
Goode champions fair and equitable opportunity, but its up to you to use it. Government cannot ensure equal results because every individual differs;
An ardent proponent of balancing the budget, our deficits Goode insists, stem from spending. Taxes should be simple and fair Im not for increasing income taxes; if we even have an income tax.
The candidate laments too much federal involvement in our lives offering as an example the Department of Education, should not be involved, schooling should be determined by states and localities
Government forcibly redefining marriage to include anything other than one man and one woman would be totally foreign to the views of the framers of the Constitution, first ten amendments and Declaration of Independence.
Goode denies that the Founders, men of deep-seated values, would consider a cross on the town square or the Ten Commandments posted at school as un-constitutional... public displays arent forcing religion on anyone,
He adamantly opposed our Libyan debacle
Goode implores following the Constitution, we cant let the UN decide clarifying I dont mind working with allies like we did in World War One and Two, but Id never let U.S. troops serve under UN command. ...
Im totally opposed to illegal immigration and will put a moratorium on new Green Cards until unemployment reduces. Jobs should [go] to U.S. citizens first. Goode would eliminate automatic birthright citizenship
Going the third party route is admittedly precarious ... unless living in a key battleground state, its unlikely your vote matters much. Likewise, for the many voters (that) might stay home, pulling the lever for Goode seems sound.

Virgil Goode's take on immigration is that illegal immigration should be stopped at the border and that there should be no place in the US for anyone here illegally.
In fact, he believes that even legal immigration should be tied to the US jobless rate. Why bring in more to take American jobs when we are in difficult times, or why bring in those who will not find jobs and end up costing taxpayers?
I think it makes sense. Whether you like the messenger or not, it makes sense.
George and Jeb Bush, on the other hand, believe in open amnesty.
We all know that that will be Romney's position when the dust settles.
Goode denies that the Founders, men of deep-seated values, would consider a cross on the town square or the Ten Commandments posted at school as un-constitutional. Further, public displays arent forcing religion on anyone, but now certain parties wish to erase the principles on which this country was founded. He continued, In this era of relativity, weve gotten away from the Christian principles which made families stronger, gave a compass to individuals.
excellent interview, BF. Thanks.
Goode is another in a long line of completely irrelevant 3rd party candidates. Virgil makes some great points, and so does my neighbor and the girl from the local dog-walking service - none have the slightest chance at all of every being President.
Mr. Goode will get CONSERVATIVE votes before the
RINO ROMNEY (author of DEATH PANELS).
Screw the Country. Protect the GOP at all costs...
I like him, maybe it is time to turn GOP into Whig. If not now, when? how many times do we have to hear “wait four more years”.
The Republican Party started out as a third party you know? Think about it...how long do we let the GOPe tell us how to vote? Don’t tell me if I do that I will give the election to obama...the way I see it, the GOPe are giving the election to obama. They still have time to give us a nominee. Abraham Lincoln was NOT the presumptive nominee you know?
Goode the pretend candidate, will get votes from those pretending to vote
There are two candidates.
All others are merely pretenders
"You are either with the forces of liberty and Constitutional governance, or you are with the forces of bigger government and subservience."
Just another Akin. Goode can say the right things, but he will marginalize his views through his actions. By running in states like VA, he makes an Obama victory more likely and of course, Obama is diametrically opposed to liberty. By making it harder for Romney to win, the less consideration will be given to people like Goode that opposed the GOP.
But, I guess the point is for Goode to destroy the conservative movement by dividing it.
Fine. You go vote for bigger government and less freedom. Just don’t pretend to be “fighting the good fight”.
Which of the following is CONSERVATIVE:
Goode is pro-life and Romney is pro-abortion for “health” of mother, a position that covers everything from colds to sore muscles.
Goode is for natural marriage and Romney is for gay couples, gay adoption, gay boy scouts, and a gay military
Goode is against illegal immigration and Romney won’t talk about it, but Jeb Bush says he should be for it.
Goode is for auditing the Fed and Romney is for letting the financial cronies run the country
Goode is for the right to keep and bear arms and Romney is for bi-partisan gun control legislation
Goode is for individual responsibility and Romney is for Big Government health care
Goode is for cutting spending and Romney is for a plan that cut’s the rate of spending, and assuming 4% growth for 30 years will end up with a balanced budget.
Goode is for eliminating the Dept of Education and Romney is for keeping it.
There are at least 4 candidates, but there are millions of voters.
Some voters will have pretend conservative votes, and others will actually vote conservative.
Goode a real conservative.
Romney a real liberal.
You’re right, but as soon as you bring up numbers to a turd party fan, they immediately zone out. Hell, there are even idiots here who call Timmy the Halfling a “candidate.”
A vote for Goode is a vote for Obama. Don’t put your silly principal in front of your country.
Who the conductor is no longer matters.
