Occupy defeated the Tea Party, Elizabeth Warren defeated Sarah Palin, Ron Paul defeated Mitt Romney
The Hill ^ | November 20, 2012 | Brent Budowsky

Michael Gerson in the Tuesday Washington Post got it half-right: Occupy Wall Street was a big 2012 winner by defining the narrative that others ran on. Yes! You read it here first, long ago. Gerson then fell into the rightist trap claiming Obama wants to end capitalism. Nope! Too much rightist brew for Gerson. Occupy Wall Street was indeed a huge 2012 winner, defining the narrative of the winning party, while the discredited Tea Party crashed, Sarah Palin is reduced to marginal opining, Elizabeth Warren emerges as a champion, Romney's 47 percent insult was defeated by Occupy Wall Street's 99 percent inspiration and the resurgent Ron Paul leads the battle for the allegiance of young voters.

The great battle of America is who defines the real populism. Obama has never been a real populist. In truth he shafted the Occupy movement but stole its message, which won the election, while Romney stole the Tea Party message, which lost the election. If this were the NFL the score would be: Occupy 24, Tea Party 7, Elizabeth Warren 28, Sarah Palin 0, Ron Paul 28, Mitt Romney 3. While Ron Paul escalates taking his message to young people, the only person who wants to talk to Romney is Obama...

Governor Palin, the previous vice-presidential candidate was shut out by Romney, from the convention, as I think the tea party in general was.

Palin did give us our only Senate pick up with long shot Deb Fischer against Senator, war hero with the Medal of Honor, and navy SEAL, Bob Kerry, and she gave us Ted Cruz over Dewhurst, along with house seats, Palin had a pretty good election.

Romney was a disaster for the GOP, he left so much on the table.

Or, if the Democrats cause them to fear that their most basic needs will be a problem. Fear is a tremendous motivator and the Democrats are masters of using it.

“Understand yourself and understand your opponents, and in one hundred battles, you will never be defeated.”

You are looking and trying to understand. You are looking deep. You are way ahead of people who were paid lots of money to win elections.

Palin was on the sidelines this election.

That is a cheesy kind of dishonest post, you are incorrect and were disagreeing with me, not agreeing with me, you lied.

The best news of the entire 2012 cycle came from Governor Palin’s efforts.

Palin did give us our only Senate pick up with long shot Deb Fischer against Senator, war hero with the Medal of Honor, and navy SEAL, Bob Kerry, and she gave us Ted Cruz over Dewhurst, along with house seats, Palin had a pretty good election.

Palin helped us immensely in ways that will pay off for years, Mitt was a disaster for us and hurt the entire ticket.

Yes, what is your solution? The only one that I see is building the new media.

Yes. Every $5 sent to FR is a better investment than $50 sent to the RNC, that's for sure. I also try to link as many relevant conservative articles as possible (from Drudge, Breitbart, etc.) to my Facebook page.

It doesn't matter whether it's TV, newspapers, or electronic media, it's one-sided right now. Even 50% of FoxNews is corrupt (Geraldo, Shep Smith, half of O'Reilly, etc.)

The libs / progressives have had a plan, and have executed it incrementally for several decades. Now they control every kind of medium aside from just news and politics, from comedy channels to GQ and other fashion mags, etc. Through academia, they've even taken over things like Nat Geo and Scientific American.

Adelson and other big donors should be spending bundles of $$$ buying up old media outlets, or starting up new ones. If they don't do it, megalibs like Buffett, Soros, or the Google guys will.

Well I guess I disagreed with you, but I didn’t mean to.

:D

Palin wasn’t completely engaged this time was my point.

Sorry if I misunderstood you.

Palin was having to be a loyal republican as an anti-Reagan, anti-Palin, anti-conservative candidate was going to win the primary, she had to try not to outshine the charisma challenged Mitt, and also not destroy him with making the contrast between their politics obvious.

Palin did what she could by getting involved in moving the party right, in the primaries involving the house and senate, and trying to stay out of the presidential level limelight.

When it was done, we got some great victories from her, she didn’t cause trouble when Mitt banned her from her own party’s convention, and she managed to not formally endorse him, while speaking positively of him at the same time.

Palin did a good job and let Romney/Rove be Romney/Rove.

In 2014, hopefully Palin and the tea party can do what they did in 2010.

Not a problem.

One nice thing about the last election is it was pretty much all the moderate GOP-lite.

And they crashed and burned.

This sets up an epic struggle: The GOP establishment with latino roots, vs the Tea Party.

Or possible a combination of those two.

Either way, this race will start early, involve a BUNCH of very prominent people, and certainly the platform will do some changing.

I for one, would very much like to see many more American jobs.

But that is just me.

Mitt Romney defeated Mitt Romney. He was simply a terrible candidate, and it’s time to stop blaming everybody else.

Scott Brown is Sarah Palin???

Sheeeeyit. Scott Brown is as "moderate" as a moderate Republican gets.

That is to say he's as Liberal as a Liberal gets.

The fact that he couldn't beat a lying fake lawyer (or is that a fake lying lawyer?) who most likely got ahead in her career by taking a spot designed to help someone else get ahead in his or her career by tilting the playing field in his or her favor speaks more for the folly of Moderatism than it does about The Tea Party.

1. Obozo’s unemployment is not down it is UP. And food stamp rate is through the roof. The numbers published by the BLS are totally conjured like Obozo past (as presented).

2. OWS defeated no one. The Tea Party was the only reason that Romney was as close as he was.

3. The 2nd Enemy is the GOPe in DC. The only path out of this mess is to defeat DC (both parties) and return the center-of-gravity of US government back to the states. No other option.

4. Current path by left is total destruction of the US. That was/is Obozo’s plan from the beginning.

5. The media must be exposed for what they really are. Traitors.
