Skip to comments.Michael Moore: Celebrating the Prince of Peace in the Land of Guns
Posted on 12/24/2012 10:42:20 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet
After watching the deranged, delusional National Rifle Association press conference on Friday, it was clear that the Mayan prophecy had come true. Except the only world that was ending was the NRA's. Their bullying power to set gun policy in this country is over. The nation is repulsed by the massacre in Connecticut, and the signs are everywhere: a basketball coach at a post-game press conference; the Republican Joe Scarborough; a pawn shop owner in Florida; a gun buy-back program in New Jersey; a singing contest show on TV, and the conservative gun-owning judge who sentenced Jared Loughner.
So here's my little bit of holiday cheer for you:
These gun massacres aren't going to end any time soon.
I'm sorry to say this. But deep down we both know it's true. That doesn't mean we shouldn't keep pushing forward after all, the momentum is on our side. I know all of us including me would love to see the president and Congress enact stronger gun laws. We need a ban on automatic AND semiautomatic weapons and magazine clips that hold more than 7 bullets. We need better background checks and more mental health services. We need to regulate the ammo, too.
But, friends, I would like to propose that while all of the above will certainly reduce gun deaths (ask Mayor Bloomberg it is virtually impossible to buy a handgun in New York City and the result is the number of murders per year has gone from 2,200 to under 400), it won't really bring about an end to these mass slayings and it will not address the core problem we have. Connecticut had one of the strongest gun laws in the country...

Sorry I don’t listen to elitist pigs, who live in gated communities, secure apartment buildings and have 24 hours rent a cops as security. Where will this hypocrites be when the moment of truth comes for me and my family?
Of course Mikey has armed guards, but that’s different.
If people like that think they’ll be safe come the revolution or civil war, they might want to read a history book.
The Prince of Peace will rule with a rod of iron and a two-edged sword. Sounds like Moore’s illusion of a peacenik Messiah will be shattered, i.e. if he ever survives the Tribulation that precedes His Coming.
Also, the murder rate in NYC did not go down due to the almost-impossibility of buying a handgun (not that murders occurred with legal handguns anyway!) It came about with a renewed commitment to law enforcement, especially repressing the crack epidemic. (And of late, the NYPD has been induced to add a fudge factor to downgrade some crimes to non-crime status.)
And yes, when he moves out of his gated community to live among the common folk of Detroit, then he can call us and try to peddle the same socialist chatter.
Celebrating the Prince of Peace in the Land of Immoral Liberals is more like it.
Irrelevant Drama Queen. Choke on your Christmas Ham. Commie Pig.
Merry Christmas to all my FR friends.
If you want to reduce gun crime in the cities..go back to stop search. Then prosecute the perps you find carrying guns that don’t have a license.
Just received tow disturbing phone calls.
Seems the zoning commission has determined your diameter requires you install at least one more asshole.
the Coast Guard has determined you are an invasive species and they mean to harpoon your porcine ass.
Stoopit white man...
Let’s give up on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th ammendments ......
Hell, skip the Constitution ....
Somewhere there’s a shipping crate for a piano with this guy’s name on it...hope it needs polishing soon...
The question, Mikey, is only if there’s rope thick enough for you.
Land of Liberals.
He would have done all he could to convince Mary to have an abortion.
“..it is virtually impossible to buy a handgun in New York City..”
MM is full of crap.
$300 bucks (or a few grams of crack) and I’ll get you anything you want within 30 minutes in NYC.
Big soda drinks and salt shakers may take a little longer.
Ole’ Mike is an intentionally misleading communist.
The signs ARE everywhere. Stores are being stripped clean. If people were so repulsed by the 2A, then why are they emptying their accounts to support it?
I wonder how much the anti gun people are paying the lunatics to go and murder school children in order to make their point?
So is he writing this to one person or multiple?
He at least got that right. They will continue as long as the SSRI anti-depressant drugs are allowed to be prescribed which are linked to practically every one of these tragic events as well as the staggering number of suicides taking place.
Just peruse the side effects insert.
I would imagine the Mike will get to meet the Prince of Peace before too long. When he does, I also suspect the discussion will have little to do with politics and far more to do with things he has held in derision - like faith. Mike will also likely be at a severe loss for armed protection where he will eventually spend eternity.
I saw this jerk the morning of the NRA presser on MSLSD. I was completely repulsed by him.
Enjoy your 15 minutes, Mr. Scarborough. You refer to yourself as "conservative." You sure as heck ain't one.
Hey Michael you ignorant expletive deleted, if we give up the guns we probably won’t be allowed to celebrate the Prince of Peace anymore. You and your commie buddies will make sure of it.
Just peruse the side effects insert.
Feed Michael Moore to the starving pygmies in New Guinea.
1. Reduce the US obesity rate;
2. Help reduce world hunger;
3. Be a positive step in reducing overpopulation (Moore has to count for a dozen);
4. Seriously reduce the US demand for ground beef, thereby reducing inflation of food prices;
5. Raise the average IQ in the US by 2 full percentage points, (when one counts the negative drag his thinking produces on the population at large).
6. AND (if there is any truth in global warming concerns) remove a MAJOR cause of flatulence from the atmosphere of the Earth.
Bad advice from blubbermouth...The Prince of Pizza.
