To think that twenty young children massacred in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14 would become catalysts to accelerate the continuing disintegration of American society was unconscionable on December 14th - and it remains unconscionable. While the nation fell into shock followed by grief, many wrote on the web, "Obama's gonna take away guns!" The narcissism of "2nd Amen" cultists is without boundaries it appears; to wit: the NRA rallies.
The goal to divert attention away from those child victims of guns in order to refocus it on themselves (the firearms industry and their plebian Constitutionalists), to protecting gun-owner "rights" and their guns, and now to posture themselves and their constituents as victims, is more than criminal, it's barbaric. It's fascistic. It's evil!
America holds its military arsenal against the heads of all nations in the world, and the NRA holds theirs against the America people. Twenty children, looking down from the Heavens, must realize they are not to blame for blood that will be shed when guns meet guns to resolve what legislatures would not - and that time is imminent. This isn't about the Constitution; this is about control of America by a most dark and insidious zeitgeist ever to visit the land and one that is drafted from the legions of Hell.
When peace-loving Americans get angry enough at "NRA-2nd Amen" specious rhetoric, threats and inflammatory actions, and then follow suit by taking up gun themselves, you will have what historians call Civil War. Hoping this does not occur, the ingredients are in place for it, having been engineered, exacerbated and invoked by the GOP, The John Birch Society, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, the Rupert Murdoch machine, Rand Paul and billionaire Rightists. I just enjoy how he cuts to the chase and gets to the point. He is a constituional lawyer by education, and he knows how to make a point concise. I have no patience for those who espouse their feelings. I also enjoy when a liberal tries to challenge him, and he takes them apart bit by bit.
If you haven’t listened to him, give a try. If you don’t like him, maybe just not your cup of tea.
At one time I might have agreed with you.
But I don't believe that attempting to split the nation will work.
The only solution I see is an economic crash of epic proportions. I see rioting, starvation, disease, and death. The survivors will understand that socialism created the problem and will resist repeating it.
Splitting the nation physically won't work without walls to keep the liberals from fleeing the economic chaos that they create. We can't keep the illegals out of the U.S., so how would we keep the Kalifornia liberals out of Idaho?
When red America is prospering and blue America is starving, they will find reasons to take from the red to give to the blue. They will justify it somehow.
Just using today's arguments, I can see the liberals claiming that the red states are despoiling the environment and bringing on global warming and thus must stop being productive.
The liberals will attempt, as they have done in the past, to convince the less productive in the red states that their condition is caused by evil capitalism and not because they personally are uneducated, undisciplined, or unproductive.
Whatever bartering is attempted between the red states and the blue will be colored by arguments of "fairness", pointing out that the people in the blue states are less well off and thus the red states should sacrifice more in their dealings for the good of all.
We need to be patient and hold out for a decade or two longer, at most. You know the game is nearly up when the Federal Reserve must buy our debt in order to keep the interest rates under control. The end is near when Detroit looks like a wasteland and little is, can be, or should be done about it.
The beauty of physical divide would allow the red states to shore up the holes in the Constitution, ie amendments to prevent socialism could be passed and repealing the 16th and the 17th. So any refuge will have live under those laws.. It is the only way. Why should the entire country suffer under anarchy? At least half country could thrive, even prosper. Your thinking is depressing and defeatist.

I can just imagine several million citizens wearing a 2A uniform, yes that right an actual uniform NOT approved by Washington DC, NOT approved by the Armed Forces, NOT approved by any other agency like HS,FBI etc.
A uniform with rank so that others can see who is in charge of making a stand against Washington DC.

And I bet Obama gets this memo to send out more internet trolls to dissuade any gatherings or organizational movements for a nationwide 2A militia.
