Enough? I don’t know what ‘enough’ would be. They do a lot. Their biggest leverage is the number of members it can claim. That scares heck out of pols who might be thinking of voting for gun control. But there are other orgs worth joining too. GOA, JPFO and others. I’ve been a Life Member of the NRA since ‘86 and just joined RMGO last month.

It’s been my experience that ‘guns first’ is the ONLY option when faced with an imminent threat to your life. It’s very difficult to fight back when you’re dead.I have found that often it is 'brains first', avoiding the situation which leads to an imminent threat.
When there is an imminent (immediate) threat, guns first works fine for me.

But does this sentiment stand up to closer scrutiny, or, is it just a convenient excuse being used by the NRA and others to kill legislation designed to restrict assault weapons?
Who cares? just as long as the socialist crap is killed.
