A crowd of people rallied against gun violence at the Georgia State Capitol in honor of Trayvon Martin Tuesday, the one year anniversary of his shooting death. Many of the protesters were speaking out against so-called stand your ground laws, which allow gun owners to use deadly force if they feel as if their lives are in danger.
During the rally, one female protester wearing an Obama hat told WGCL-TV that using a firearm in self-defense is not an option.
Its not an option, she repeated.
The reporter then asked her, But what if someone is trying to kill you? She replied, Theyll just have to kill me.

S/he looks scary.
I don't know. This sounds like a win-win to me. Obama voter murders a fellow Obama voter...one goes to jail, one gets her wish.
It happened in 2004. I don’t post much anymore and never mentioned it here before. I didn’t want to be told that I should have had a gun and it wouldn’t have happened.
I had a gun and it happened anyway.
Stupid Black Ku Klux Klan Racists just hate the fact that white folks are armed .....and willing to defend themselves from criminals
Trayvon Martin lost playing the Knockout game
Hope you continue to gain, and progress.
For real. Sorry for your pain.
(a stand-in, but just a good thought)
I woke up in the middle of the night, went to use the bathroom and was surprised by the perp in my hallway. My gun was on the nightstand. I was thrown through the sheetrock, smashed into the framing and came out the sheetrock on the other side. Numerous bones were broken and I was kicked until I was unconscious.
What is she thinking, that it’s what Jesus would do?
Wow. Democrats are so desperate for total control, they’re willing to let someone kill them to get everyone else under control (no guns type of control). Hmmm....
Hmmm, okay. And, what if a conservative Republican gun owner was trying to kill you, would you should him/her? (That question should have been asked).
Just said a prayer for you.
I am sorry for the injustice visited upon you, but you have an admirable attitude.
Hope you post more.
Self defense is not an option...apparently neither is a brain.
Back in the day (about 300 BC to 500 AD) Jain rulers in India were in the practice of sending missionaries out in the farthest reaches of the world to teach ~ we have several historic Christian saints who appear to have lived pretty much the same as Jains and they taught this doctrine so it's safe to think that some of the folks from India made it to the West.
About 535 AD the world came to an end ~ or what passed for an end ~ and that stuff stopped!
I’ll never under Liberals infatuation with being a victim.
Bully for her and her pacifist attitude. America is about freedom and liberty. She is fee to choose that path, I’m free to choose armed resistance.
Oh the irony of the rally! Had poor Trayvon had a firearm, he could have defended himself against the unprovoked attach.....LOL!
Liberals love to die weak and defenseless. Hmmm, sort of how the babies they love to see aborted are — Weak and defenseless ....
The evil twisted logic of a liberal ...
She replied, Theyll just have to kill me.
But what if they tried to steal your Obama hat?
She replied: “I’d rip that MF’ers head off and piss down his throat”.
“Well princess, with that way of thinking, you might get your wish to be put in that situation to have to make that call. However, I hope you dont have any young children who might be with you at the time and in harms way and you cant protect them.”

I’ve had a similar conversation with my Canadian husband, regarding concealed carry (illegal here). I always say, when our daughter (now 13) is at college and has had to study late, walking home alone, wouldn’t you prefer she had the means to defend herself?
He doesn’t have a response for that.
At least they showed a fair composite of Trayvon pictures. /sarc
My prayers are with you. I’m so sorry you had to experience such trauma.
