IRS Scandal, Why Isn't it a Diversion?
Self | 5-18-2013 | Sequoyah101

My Dad often said: "Intrigue only begat intrigue". He was usually right. One conspiracy leads to another like a room full of mirrors reflecting themselves.

Still, here goes.

I have been watching Youtube collections of stuff from the talking heads and interviews today. I am cementing my earlier view... this IRS abuse is a massive smoke screen to hide something even bigger from attention. A lose the battle win the war tactic. Sure, this IRS scandal is a big deal and it is just the kind of attack on liberty all the right can get behind. Just the kind of terrible problem Obama needs to ride to the rescue to solve so that he can appear presidential. As bumbling as the effort appears he could still pull it off.

The performance by Miller today was just too bizarre. Nobody that gets that far is that stupid or obtuse unless it is on purpose. Are they?

1. This is an emotive issue sure to capture the public attention 2. Congress must act with outrage 3. The media is being far too cooperative 4. Miller is way too smug. He is either unbelievably arrogant or intentionally acting bizarre. Just plain bizarre. He makes outrageous statements and contradictions of the IG report and even himself. Classic diversion? The guy going out anyway who was not even the director when all this happened but awfully close to the action. 5. Why the big orchestration of the “leak” on Friday at the Bar Association meeting by Lois Lerner? To what purpose? 6. IRS says we gave poor customer service, we made mistakes, we acted inappropriately, we apologise? Strange. And then ostoner says the acts are alleged and if they are true we are will take “appropriate” action? Then he comes out and is outraged? Come on. I've seen crocodile tears before and can recognize them. 7. An opportunity to change the tax code? It makes no difference to ostoner how taxes are collected just as long as there are lots of them to redistribute. If he can give the sheeple what they want and still get what he wants... what does it matter how he gets it? Besides, it gives the stupid congressionals something to work on and not bother or watch him and his gang of criminals.

I'm sure this is nuts and the equivalent of a birther point of view. I sure hope it is.

The IRS scandal can be blamed on someone else, Benghazi can’t.

There are 70k pages of tax regulations. I have doubt that there’s any law violated in this case (why would Congress have even written such a law?). The end-result? This will run for two months and there’s bound to be six people fired by the end....all low level. That’s it.

As for the President? It’s going to be eventually agreed that the President doesn’t know anything about whats going on, and probably even knows less than Justin Bieber on international events...except that he watches the news (which he continually admits is how he finds out about terrible things).

Yes, the TC is so huge and nebulous I doubt there is any actual law broken. We live in a grey world of discretionary prosecution. They can get anyone for breaking a law if they want to and find a reason to let anyone go if they don’t want them.

I think the immediate hope and prayer is that they (the dims and the press) can catch any Republican in a misstatement of the supposed facts...however minor it is.....in any of these “troubling events”. Then, they can accuse the Republicans of an obvious lying, partisanship witch-hunt to try to “Impeach another Democrat President.
These Republicans have no shame.”

They will then focus on that and sweep the original scandal off the radar.

Like in the old Communist block countries, they would say, "Show me the man, and I'll show you the paragraph."

What people don't realize is that the IRS rigged the election of 2012 for Obama and the democrats/socialists in the Senate.

The IRS made many conservative groups disband so that they couldn't do get out the vote . The IRS stole the election. but the media wants to make it seem like it was just low level employees targeting a few conservative groups. no it was intimidating groups with the threat of perjury to make them disband, many of them in battleground states with the goal of rigging the election for Obama and many democrats/socialists congressmen.

The IRS also waited to approve tax exempt status for many groups until after the election. they couldn't function as they didn't want to pay taxes on donations

Kinda makes a person wonder just how to neuter the IRS against attacks prior to the NEXT elections.

This last election was stolen, on so many levels.

Vote fraud at the precinct and state level.

Crippled conservative party group organizations.

Crippled conservative party GOTV effort.

The IRS scandal can be blamed on someone else, Benghazi can’t.

Depends. When it comes to the buck's ultimate resting place, the military chain of command is quite clear. Four Americans dead. No attempt at help from the CINC. Obama's fault!

The civilian chain of command is more muddled. But ultimately, as the Donkees know, "A fish rots from the head first."

Ultimately, everything that goes wrong in the federal government is Obama's fault!

Would be worth thinking of a possible class action lawsuit against the IRS for targeting GOP voters, maybe we can win a free year or two of filing exemptions against the IRS.

Do you want to know which scandal has legs? Do yourself a favor. Take the next few days and conduct your own poll among family, friends and acquaintances:

1) What is the Benghazi scandal?
2) What is the IRS scandal?

Compare notes and proceed accordingly.

In my personal experience, IRS wins in a landslide. And that’s *before* the revelation of “What’s the content of your prayers?”

Wow, if this is a planned distraction, it’s the equivalent of dynamiting your house to put out a kitchen fire.

On the surface, I agree with you. BUT,COULD the Benghazi issue be much, much more than we currently realize. That the legacy media is too willing to cover the IRS issue just “don’t sit right.” For the want of a better term, “wag the dog” just seems like a viable scenario.
