Explore an explosive new energy source

Negative words comprise a large percentage of the adjectives used in The Roanoke Times articles re: energy: expensive, depleting, exhausting, polluting, filthy, radioactive, etc. These negative words apply to petroleum, natural gas, coal, uranium, thorium (yep — thorium, too).

How about a few positive words: cheap, endless, non-polluting, world-altering, safe, local (as in your basement or a closet). These words apply to LENR (low-energy nuclear reaction). It’s coming. Soon, though soon is really squishy but might be as early as this year. In spite of the word “nuclear,” LENR is not radioactive. Currently, it usese nickel (in very small quantities) and nitrogen, both of which are plentiful and cheap. Sir Isaac Newton tried to do it, but back then it was called alchemy, and Newton did not publicly admit to it.

Pons and Fleishmann, University of Utah electrochemists, introduced it prematurely in 1989 and erroneously labeled it “cold fusion.” No one could reproduce their efforts, so they were ridiculed and shamed from the world of physics. More than likely they, along with Andrea Rossi, will receive Nobel prizes and be mentioned along with Prometheus and the unknown that invented the wheel. Their dream is now being accepted by NASA: Chief Scientist at NASA Langley Research Center Dennis Bushnell has authored a new report “Advanced-to-Revolutionary Space Technology Options — The Responsibly Imaginable,” which includes low-energy nuclear reactions; the University of Missouri has a well-funded investigation underway.

Outstanding developers at the moment are Italian inventor Rossi’s Leonardo Corp., the Greek corporation, Defkalion and an American company, Brillouin. The essence of the system(s) of Rossi and Defkalion at the moment appears to be a matrix consisting of nano nickel(that is really, really tiny bits of nickel) through which monoatomic hydrogen (that is H as opposed to the normal H2) is pumped, and some sort of catalyzer is involved. A local atomic reaction, as yet not scientifically explained, takes place that combines the nickel and hydrogen nuclei forming copper. That is the alchemy part. Here Einstein’s E=mc2 kicks in, converting the small amount of lost mass into a huge amount of energy. Just like in the H-bomb but without radioactive emissions occurring.

A report by a third party was issued May 20 that indicates that Rossi has produced what he has labeled an E-CAT HT2 that produced excess energy orders of magnitude above any chemical (fossil) device. My best guess is that the world has been turned upside down. I recommend that readers examine the paper at bit.ly/LENR_report and decide whether to agree. This is a heavy-duty report loaded with mathematics and tables. Read the conclusion on page 28 of the report and then consult your local unbiased physicist. This appears to make the congressional examination of the Benghazi, Internal Revenue Service and Associated Press scandals trivial.

I enjoy these LENR updates and remain hopeful of their eventual success. However, I must admit-

A heavy duty report!

With mathematics!

And tables!

"But if there is anything to it, it will be nice to see some real information.

Heck, I'd be happy to see just a couple to 5 companies actually using it and getting cheap energy from it. Until it's in production somewhere, it remains in the realm of questionable technologies to possible outright fraud.

That would be here:

If you were to point out the obvious, you’d be talking about the 14,720 times the P-F Anomalous Heating Effect has been replicated. Zoom, it goes right over your head.

Like a Sideshow barker spinning the never ending tale ... “Look right this way, see the nano-nickel and the mono-hydrogen make the never ending energy producing dynamo.”

Sorry, but no. Apparently you are another who thinks that LENR is "all Rossi, all the time". There are plenty of well-qualified and highly regarded scientists who have also shown the same phenomena. For Ni-H, those would be Piantelli and Focardi.

The only "carnival barkers" on these threads are the skeptopaths constantly shouting (like you) that "it's all a scam". I wonder, could "you" be a skeptopath??? I suspect so.
