The New Proof of the KGB’s Hand in JFK’s Assassination
PJ Media's Say No To Socialism ^ | November 20, 2013 | Ion Mihai Pacepa

It has been 50 years since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, and most of the world still wrongly believes that the culprit was the CIA, or the FBI, or the mafia, or right-wing American businessmen. It has been also 50 years since the Kremlin started an intense, worldwide disinformation operation, codenamed “Dragon,” aimed at diverting attention away from the KGB’s connection with Lee Harvey Oswald. Not unrelated are the facts that Oswald was an American Marine who defected to Moscow, returned to the United States three years later with a Russian wife, killed President Kennedy, and was arrested before being able to carry out his plan to escape back to Moscow. In a letter dated July 1, 1963, Oswald asked the Soviet embassy in Washington, D.C., to grant his wife an immediate entrance visa to the Soviet Union, and to grant another one to him, separtably (misspelling and emphasis as in the original).

The Kremlin’s “Dragon” operation is described in my book Programmed to Kill: Moscow’s Responsibility for Lee Harvey Oswald’s Assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. In 2010, this book was presented at a conference of the Organization of American Historians together with a review by Prof. Stan Weber (McNeese State University). He described the book as “a superb new paradigmatic work on the death of President Kennedy” and a “must read for everyone interested in the assassination.”[i]

Programmed to Kill is a factual analysis of that KGB crime of the century committed during the Khrushchev era. In those days, the former chief KGB adviser in Romania had become the head of the almighty Soviet foreign espionage service and pushed me up to the top levels of the Soviet bloc intelligence clique....

I consider Ion Pacepa quite credible

I agree.

Oswald was a Communist who renounced his American citizenship, relocated to Russia, and returned to assassinate Kennedy. The KGB immediately launched their massive disinformation campaigns to place the blame elsewhere.

One thing for certain is that KGB had a hand in spreading the silly conspiracy theories, when all available evidence was pointing to the Soviet Union and Cuba. None of those highly publicized theories ever pointed to the obvious!

Amazing isn't it.

I think it was male models. They have been responsible for all the assassinations for the last two centuries.

Getting serious, I personally think it was probably just Lee Harvey Oswald but goodness what a remarkable series of events followed the arrest of Oswald.

So the whole Jack Ruby thing doesn’t raise a red flag at all?

Amazing that many of the same people that look to conspiracy theories regarding JFK, take a face value without questioning that John Hinckley acted alone in shooting Reagan, because he wanted to impress Jodie Foster.

All kinds of red flags but in the end I think it was just Oswald.

You are right tho. I could believe almost anything and not be really surprised.

No Lincoln was not old enough. It would have had to have been one of his descendants. Maybe George Lincoln Rockwell?

I’m not sure if Lee Oswald did it by himself, but he was involved somehow. As for the CIA, FBI, LBJ, Mob, KGB, or Marilyn, by the 25th of November there were quite a few folks who were happy with the results, whether they were directly involved or not.

When things happen that are world changing, we as humans feel much more comfortable in believing that there was some powerful group behind that change, whether the change was good or not good. We like to believe in some grand plan.

we humans are not comfortable believing that a single, unknown individual can have that much of an effect on our world. So we invent conspiracy theories because that makes us more comfortable.

There are a couple of things which bother me about Oswald. According to Marine sources he was a mediocre shot. I have been there and it was probably not that hard a shot but even so a nervous shooter using a gun which was sighted in to miss by a foot and a moving target. would have been an almost impossible shot.

Now I was champion of my gun clubs all comers meet and am fairly sure I could have made the shot with a scoped and sighted in Remington 788 in .243. That gun was short inexpensive and known to be very accurate. Even easier would have been a scope mounted AR-15 or even an SKS with a scope properly sighted in.

But Oswald had a junker with a mis-sighted scope. Now although I admit the Carcano was the worst military rifle of WWII, it still would do the job as far as power and accuracy. The only trouble was that scope being off.

Yes, and sometimes there really are conspiracies. Both exist, no?

Lincoln had a time machine and was not dead at the time of JFK’s assassination. He really meant to take out LBJ too. But John Wilkes Booth had a time machine too and shot Lincoln right after he took out JFK. Oswald was there to shoot Oliver Stone but Booth materialized in the line of fire and died on the spot but due to the laws of time travel both Lincoln and Booth dematerialized. So Oswald was blamed. This is why Oswald claimed to be a Patsy, which was a reference to Patsy Cline who died in a tragic plane crash, that was caused by the Big Bopper.

So we invent conspiracy theories because that makes us more comfortable.

A point of view that traces its self back to 1963 and not before.

Conspiracies became taboo starting in late 1963.
