Ukrainian troops are storming an airfield in the eastern city of Kramatorsk, said anti-Maidan activists as cited by RIA Novosti. The activists added that several people were injured.
Ukrainian troops approached the military airfield in armored personnel carriers between the eastern cities of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, the peoples militia located at the airfield told RIA Novosti on the phone.
They started negotiating with the peoples militia, which is in control of the airfield. The shooting started unexpectedly. There are injured among the peoples militia, and there may be deaths, they said.
Other members of the militia have blocked the entrance to Kramatorsk and are ready to defend the city, the activists added.

Deputy Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Administration Hennadiy Korban
A special forces battalion called Dnipro is being formed in Dnipropetrovsk, announced Deputy Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Administration Hennadiy Korban, as reported by TSN, April 14. According to Korban, the formation of the battalion will begin this week and the selected soldiers will not represent any political organizations.
Korban said that organizers are especially interested in volunteers with battle experience and previous experience in armed forces or law enforcement agencies. The salary of an ordinary soldier in this elite unit will be not less that the UAH equivalent of US $1,000. A commanders salary will be the equivalent of US $5,000-10,000. Partial funding will come from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the rest from the Dnipropetrovsk Governors team, he said.
For the post of commander, experienced officers Afghans (Ed. veterans of the war in Afghanistan) will be considered and will be selected according to their military abilities and accomplishments and not on the basis of relationships and connections, Korban explained.
The battalion will be armed with weapons from warehouses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Operations will be planned and carried out in collaboration with government agencies. The Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Ihor Kolomoysky will have personal control over the actions of the Dnipro special forces battalion he said.
First of all, I want to warn all these so-called green men that, in contrast to others, we are not cowards, and any attempt to seize buildings of the Security Service or the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be met immediately with lethal force. Anyone who wants to arrange a war in this region needs to know that Dnipropetrovsk will become a second Stalingrad for them, but this battle will be won by the Ukrainian people, he said.
As previously reported, Ihor Kolomoysky funded fuel and body armor for military units of the Southern Operational Command in March.

This is Ukrainians killing Russians who live in Ukraine.
And all this started with a simple coup by the same people of the 2004 Revolution.....a few months prior to scheduled democratic elections.
Kiev regime, as I have said, is trying to form armed forces by enlisting all kind of people.
Smells like Balkans! :) Goood old democrat wars. Zbigi&Clintons!
It’s the regular Russian Army in Ukraine. Plenty of proof now. Why are you are being willful blind?
If Putin was planning on violence before making his move, he has it now.
Air attacks against separatists. I was afraid of this.
This now gives Putin the justification to invoke THE OBAMA DOCTRINE, and declare a “No Fly Zone” over Eastern Ukraine.
Using Obama in Libya as the precedent, that would mean he can also bomb with impunity, while putting Special Forces/Contractor boots on the ground for “Recon” and “training the Rebels”.
Obamassss Chickenzzzzzz are about to come home roosting, I fear.
Good info here in English
Remember the Croatians beat the Serbs.
Former Ambassador to Russia Predicts Scary and Bloody Day in Ukraine
Michael McFaul, until recently the Obama White Houses man in Moscow, said during a Tuesday morning MSNBC appearance that he is very concerned about what might transpire if and when Ukrainian forces clash with the protestors to take back control of the eastern parts of the country.
I think this is a very scary day, said McFaul, now a professor at Stanford University.
He said clashes between Ukrainian CT forces and pro-Russia groups could produce a very bloody moment.
So wherever a Russian goes the people must bend to their will? If they’re really Russians, go home to Russia. If they want to live in Ukraine, be a Ukrainian.
Live updates here:
Are those fierce Kremlin special forces invading free and democratic Ukraine?
Nope. Salt of the Earth. You know, morons.
Seeing several tweets about Ukraininans claiming the 45th Spetznaz has arrived, or is arriving, in Slovyansk and Kramatorsk.
All unconfirmed, as of yet.
There’s some sick folks enjoying this. Somebody else brought up LaRouche yesterday and I think that suit fits.
That pic PROVES it. They are obviously crack Russian troops, not just Ukraine citizens of Russian heritage. /s
No, they’re paid provocateurs. Putinistas can sit tight. Putin will invade.
Russians who could go home to Russia.
I’ve come across members of our Borscht Brigade posting from LaRouche in the past. It’s tough to say whether they actually believe in it, or post it because it agrees with the Kremlin line, and they are simply unfamiliar with LaRouche.
Russians who could go home to Russia.”
They are home.
Do you also tell blacks to go back home to Africa?
Map of eastern Ukraine. The second red dot from the top is Kramatorsk.
Thanks! Good to have live updates from both sides.
The tweets are coming fast and furious, almost too fast to keep up.
“Helicopter gunned down in Slovyansk.”
“Rebels in Slovyansk restricting access thru some roadblocks around town.”
“Kramatorsk and Slovyansk are now without internet and cellular..”
I’m thinking, for some reason, of militantly Spanish speaking illegal aliens in the southwest USA. I’m thinking of the “barrio”. I’m thinking of terms like “reconquista”. I’m thinking we need to think a few steps ahead ... we need to play chess. Barry Benghazi is playing tiddly-winks.
I’m not sure why these things suddenly come to mind.
Any wounded or captured should be dragged out of the hospital hauled to Kiev and face some serious interogation and used for the UN presentation on the 17th.
If they’re black separatists, like the black panthers, yes. It’s totally reasonable. Obey the laws of your nation. Otherwise go home to the one you claim.
Bloomberg is reporting this claim by a Ukrainian government official.
Let’s hope the Ukrainians kill all the Russian rebels.
...or maybe Texas wants independence from Mexico and later to join US?
I saw some other pics of “pro-russians”. They looked like train station drunks. No joke. One had that crusty puffy face you see on alcoholics over there.
A government firing on it’s own civilians? Nah that could never happen here.
Like they did to rebels in 1776?
I think a lot of the pro-Putin people on FReeRepublic are probably drunks too.
Nah, they just like his stand on gays.
All 1/3 of Ukraine population? :)
