She had 8 children from husband and was told after his death they were siblings
A Saudi woman discovered that she was married to her sibling for 50 years and had eight children from him before his death, a newspaper reported on Sunday.
After his recent death, the woman was told that she and her husband had been breastfed by the same mother and that they are not permitted by Islam to marry each other, the Arabic language daily Okaz said.
The paper quoted relatives as saying the woman at first did not believe what she was told at her husbands funeral and decided to travel to his birthplace to check.
Relatives of her husband confirmed to her that they are siblings and that she is not permitted to marry him because he is Mahram (unmarriageable kin), it said in a report from the western Saudi town of Median.
The paper quoted the unnamed woman as saying:Although I was satisfied that my husband died, I am very upset at what has happened
but its God will.
Saw a similar story recently of a couple in PA that had been married 30+ years but were brother/sister. How on earth do you deal with that?

I got a better question: How do you “D’oh!” in Arabic?!
Who pays for that wedding?
The same thing happens everyday in the ghettos across America. How can you know who fathered your child when you are stoned everyday? That is very likely the reason why so many Black babies are aborted.
LOL GREAT question!!
I feel like I need a shower...
Islamists are sick. The parents probably thought “family honor” was at stake, for they surely knew who was who and what was what. Their defective thinking, for starters, is passed onto the eight children big time.
It even happens in a galaxy far, far away.
when you are stoned everyday?
= = = = = = = = =
Funny you should bring up stoned.
We are talking Saudi Arabia here do you think she has a ‘STONING’ in her future???
Never mind the ghetto, Hollywood is almost as bad.
This reminds me of the song in the 1960s about a young man on a Caribbean island who falls in love with one woman after another but when he talks to his father his father tells him that one is his sister, “but your momma don’t know.” Finally when he has run out of potential mates he goes to his mother and his mother tells him that his father isn’t his father, “but your papa don’t know.”
Here is www.consang.net and a chart from there; to wit, "Globally, the most common form of consanguineous union contracted is between first cousins"
Global prevalence of consanguinity
(Sources of the images are in the links.)
The text is here
Not surprising that there is nothing there that states explicitly that Islamists blah, blah. There is this sole reference (that I could find) "double first cousin marriages, which have the same coefficient of inbreeding [as uncle-niece unions] (F = 0.125), are recognized within Islam"
It seems to me that if "Globally, the most common form of consanguineous union contracted is between first cousins" and the chart shows the Arab countries with the preponderance of consanguineous marriages then that lends a great deal of authority to other 'Net sources that state it outright: "First cousin marriages have been the tradition in many Muslim families for innumerable generations." I hope the owners of the charts don't mind and are indeed pleased for the additional publicity.
“Although I was satisfied that my husband died...”
Funny as to how they’re “related” as they’re in reality only bosom buddies. But it’s still forbidden. Sure gives common law a kick in the rear.
Sounds like a ploy to cut her out of any inheritance.
Not the first woman to say that.
what the hell is a GGC woman?
The practice is not common in the states, but there is still the curiosity explored in novels. In the 1960s V.C. Andrews wrote a string of paperbacks meant primarily for teens to read. While my English Class was reading things like The Hobbit by Tolkein, or My Darling, My Hamburger, by Paul Zindel, others were reading novels like Flowers in the Attic, which explored this topic.
In Saudi, when a person dies they are said to be in a better place and never mentioned again. Death is supposed to be a great thing. All future references to that person’s name are discouraged. Most pictures of the deceased can no longer be displayed.
In this case, they weren’t actually siblings but “milk-siblings”. As if breastfeeding a few times change the DNA.
I suspect in this case, someone wanted to push the woman’s children out of the line of inheritance and starts the rumor “they were breast fed, they are siblings, well, those kids are illegitimate and can’t inherit now, so more for the rest of us”.
Probably a typo. Should be this,
Didn’t I tell you all how much the rest of them hate Yemen?
GCC=Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman
What’s Arabic for “row faster, I hear banjos”?
You’ll have to ask the Arab Ned Beatty.
Muzzies do have a problem with inbreeding.
That’s called family planning in Arkansas.... :)
Not only was Aisha 6 years old when she married Muhammad, but she was his niece as well.
That’s why it is not only legal but almost obligatory (certainly on the girl) in Islam.
Although I was satisfied that my husband died,..Me too, Muzzie Babe.
I thought that was quite subtle and witty.
Nothing quite as awkward as the Sister-Wife.
“How on earth do you deal with that?
Same as any other sexual misconduct, stone her to death.
Yes, and for all of their cosanguinity their congenital defects and genetic diseases are off the charts. It’s what happens when the family tree doesn’t branch.
Keep in mind that in many muslim countries, the inbreeding coefficient is >0.50 in many, many marriages because of repeated, interrelated, cousin-marriage. These people are brothers and sisters for all genetic purposes even though they don’t share the same parents. So, this isn’t really all that unusual.
Ok but what does this have to do with compilers?
The author of the quote below is Danish psychologist Nicolai Sennels and his articles and others are laboriously sourced.
"If there are two things that characterize Islamic culture, they are terrorism and inbreeding. The latest research shows that these two things might be closely connected . . . First cousin marriages have been the tradition in many Muslim families for innumerable generations. Such marriages increase the risk of negative mental and physical consequences . . . Risk of mental retardation increases with 400 percent (Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, 1978 Effect of inbreeding on IQ and mental retardation). Research shows that the IQ is 10-16 points lower in children born from blood related parents and that abilities related to social behavior and empathy develops slower in inbred babies (Indian National Science Academy, 1983 Consanguinity Effects on Intelligence Quotient and Neonatal Behaviours of nsari Muslim Children [pdf]). Such facts might make several pieces fall into place for many people . . . People with low intelligence (because of inbreeding) might also be easier to brainwash with fundamentalist Islam. "
From Internet sources. My emphasis.
Shame and damnation be upon the Islamists. If ISIS forms a califake or whatever that attracts millions it invites the question, "How many MOABs will it take to end this vile bullshit for another 1,000 years?"
Excellent material. It helps to explain a culture which is sick. Physically, emotionally, psychologically, genetically sick. And massively dysfunctional. I have for some time believed that if members of all other races and religions were to magically disappear from the face of the earth the strife and chaos would still continue. It would be just a short time before muslims started turning on each other. History very clearly shows that the biggest killers of muslims through the ages have not been Christians, Jews or any other religious groups. No, the bigest killers of muslims have been other muslims. If muslims feel compelled to act out their cultural imperatives of violence and death so be it. but let them do it in their own countries, and not the whole world wide.
