According to insiders, NBC political director and chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd is the rightful heir to Gregory, but he has not been officially offered the job.
Other names said to be in the frame include Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, who comes from a political background but is unlikely to be released from the flagship morning show where shes hugely popular. Guthrie is also due to give birth to her first child next month and will return to Today after maternity leave.
MSNBCs Morning Joe team of Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have also been said to be angling for a Sunday slot, but NBC insiders said there are concerns about putting a partisan host in charge of Meet the Press, as Scarborough is a former Republican congressman.
I can’t stand to watch the obnoxious Gregory.
I guess Stephanopolis is OK, then..
He should be in prison for violation of the DC laws on magazines. However, as a member of the media-government poweratti, he was given a pass. Regardless, he is a criminal under DC law.
Lucky for Gregory they’re apparently set to make at least two more Planet of the Apes movies. So he’ll still have a paying gig.
Wow! That will really draw viewers! /sarcasm
Give the show to Mark Steyn and watch viewership skyrocket.
Chuck Todd? He is so biased to the left if he gets the job it will be like if the head of the DNC were hosting Meet the Press. My choice would be Matt Lauer. He is one of the most unbiased hosts on NBC.
I still say give the job to Jay Leno.
Todd resides in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, Kristian Denny Todd, daughter Margaret, and son Harrison. Kristian Denny Todd is a communications professional and cofounder of Maverick Strategies and Mail, which provides direct mail and consulting services for Democratic candidates and progressive causes; she was spokesperson for Senator candidate Jim Webb.
Yeah, she'd be great.(BTW, married to a Dem consultant and former staffer to both Clinton and Gore)
Bwarney Frank is available.
Oh, I see, Chuck Todd was the leftist radical Sen. Tom Harkin's (D-Iowa) chief of staff but that doesn't count, huh?
This is emblematic of how liberals parse the world. They are morally superior and in their mind they are the only legitimate ones to participate in any debate. Anyone not preaching their dogma is simply not legitimate, and doesn't count.
Liberals are twisted.
any idiot has to know these democrap “journalists” are little more than democrat plants.
Stephanopolis is and always will be up clintoons asses.
So, who cares? who watches this program? I haven’t seen it in years.
He was great in that....and minimal makeup!
Isn’t it well past time for NBC to offer up a little “diversity” on its flagship news program? They can’t give it to the next available white guy. NBC should pay a hefty price if Al Sharpton isn’t given the position he rightly deserves.
“NBC political director and chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd is the rightful heir to Gregory”
Lets use this as a timely reminder that Chuck Todd was once a Democratic staffer to Senator Tom Harkin and is married to Kristian Denny Todd who served as a communications person for the Democratic Party and then helped found Maverick Strategies and Mail, a consulting group for liberal candidates.
David Gregory to Chuck Todd? Are you sh**ting me? Thats going from very left wing biased to outright over the cliff left wing bias.
” MSNBCs Morning Joe team of Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have also been said to be angling for a Sunday slot, but NBC insiders said there are concerns about putting a partisan host in charge of Meet the Press, as Scarborough is a former Republican congressman.”
That’s a laugh... who is it that has been hosting ABC’s flagship Sunday News program? Clinton’s former official spokesman?
He was taking some pretty good shots in the end.
