I registered as an Independent years ago. Looks like from now on I will simply vote on Local races and propositions. Done. Not one more vote from me.

With few exceptions at the federal level, it’s really up to the states’ governors, state representatives and appellate system to start hitting the reset button now. Fedzilla and the UNIPARTY of DC have to be stopped in their tracks.
This spending bill today was the last straw for me. They absolutely fully funded everything they’ve railed against and even gave a billion dollars for the illegals. If there was any way we could I’d go full Galt. Unfortunately every dime of income we have is fully documented and we are both retired so can’t hide a penny plus we are in the category that is now considered rich. We are paying through the nose for all this crap and I’m peeved!!!!
I’m done with them.

Liberal Republicans constitute most of the party. That’s just reality. There’s no reason to believe that the GOP will every morph into a conservative party (i.e., one with the serious objective of minimizing the size of the federal government).
Both parties continue feeding Fedzilla but the one-size-fits all government behemoth clearly does not work and in fact only leads to more dysfunction, waste and control over the lives of its citizens. This, IMO, is the central problem we face today. We need to restore federalism.
Unfortunately, neither party wants to do this. The Republicans say they do, but we all know that’s just not true. Its a ruse to gets votes and money from its base.
Back to your comment, you’re right. There’s way too much agreement going on between them. They are two sides of the same coin.
Of course, these criminal class members agree on it. It isn’t their money.
