Since all of these old injustices are being dredged up, how come the Democrats’ racism and support for slavery never gets mentioned? How do they get a “pass”?

The Hammonds, the Bundy’s, and LaVoy Finicum are sure being overlooked in all this insanity.
I guess because they were all white guys, standing for fellow white ranchers, ambushed and shot at, and one killed, that is all okay. And the Bundy’s are still sitting in prison, just trying to get a fair trial. Where is the outrage, where are the riots, blah blah blah.

No matter how many times the NFL players try to defend their right to kneel, I can NEVER agree that the National Anthem is the place to do so. Too sacred to too many. It can do nothing but cause, anger, division, etc. They brought this all on themselves. And I don’t even watch tv sports. But I can’t support how/where they are expressing themselves.

A nation-state is in large part about a shared cultural-mythical vision. When this fails with a subset then the nation breaks.
This has happened often enough elsewhere. Spain, a very diverse place by nature, was held together by Catholicism and its empire. Its no accident that the start of nationalist movements by its more concentrated minorities began in earnest when it lost both. It was held together temporarily, first by force, and then by economics (the EU, and, earlier, its economic takeoff in the 1960s-90s). But now, there is nothing left. So Catalonia is now about to leave, and I dont see, long term, how Spain can hold it.
The US problem though is that, unlike Catalonia, black America is spread through the country. There are no majority black states. If there were they would most likely have been independent already.

During my last two years working on and off (mostly on) in the UAE, I have used taxi’s quite a bit. I like to sit in the front seat and chat with the drivers (they usually like to talk to Americans). A number of drivers were from Uganda, Nigeria, DR Congo and other central African nations. EVERYONE of those drivers wanted to go the US because of the better opportunities available. They also would say that American customers would always treat them with respect. My favorite reply came from one young man on why he wanted to go to the US and he answered with one word: “Freedom”. Nuff said.
Don’t you know you can only be Patriotic when there is a Democrat in the White House.
I read a few sentences. A total waste of time.
It used to be that getting something published required a lot of hurdles and vetting. It had to be compelling and worthwhile in order to justify serving it up to the reading public.
The reading public used to be discerning and erudite, and knew garbage when they saw it.
Things are different now. Hateful garbage like this piece is so easily passed off as journalism and gobbled up by a far less discerning public.
This clown talks as if he represents some large segment of society but there was no vetting process to verify it.
It’s a shame it’s so easy to write trash and get people to post it and give it the time of day.
