"These technicals are nothing but a bunch of worked up Islamist idiots with AKs and grenades"
From Palestine to the Phillipines, that is *all* the Islamofascists have going for them.
We need a light precision-guided bomb that can target at a moron-sized object carrying an RPG.

No, they anticipated and prepared very well, heeding the lessons of GW1. Our heavy armor charged up the open dessert through hostile territory, and now has a ~300 mile supply line heavily exposed to enemy action. This is a complete screw-up. A screw up would entail some catastrophe. Right? NO Iraqi military unit has been able to seriously disrupt the supply line. What we see are local militias that take pop shots on our convoy which do little more than delay the line at times. Nothing is PERFECT especially in WAR, and from everything I have heard and read there are no major problems on the front line with supplies and fuel. And like I said, more reinforcements are coming in all the time to protect our supply line.

>>What spin are you believing now?
That's a very good question. Facts are generally few and far between. Most of the new outlets are rather clueless, and we have the Pentagon spokespeople whose job IS to spin. Most of us common folk just have to sort through the BS to figure out what is really happening. A robust BS filter is definitely in order whatever ones sources.

25 to 35,000 kill ratio per O'Reilly.
FOX showed a clip of a reporter asking Clark a question.
Clark used his cell to call CNN for permission to answer.
CNN told Clark not to answer, so he walked away from the reporter.
Not only does he kill hundreds of civilians, hit the Chinese Embassy, lose to the Russians (badly), but he's a CNN puppet.

Good point! Wesely clark is opening angling for a shot at politics in the Dem column. McCaffrey is a Clinton appointee.

Oh I think we counted on Saddam's special forces. We knew they'd fight and we're about to take care of that.

Yes. The hallmark spin of the Clinton crony is not present in this team.

Please, let's not call comments dumb.
The strategy was to take out the leadership during the first 48 hours (well documented and pretty obvious from events). Further, the plan was to rush up to Baghdad with the Iraqi army surrending 'en masse' and Shiite uprising occuring in the South. Iraqi regular and even Republican Guard were poised to surrender (we were chatting by cellphone afterall). The regime would collapse, and our armor would roll in to Baghdad virtually unopposed. Pentagon mouthpieces were all over the tube the last several weeks declaring the south would rise-up in rebellion and welcome the U.S. as liberators. Obviously, this isn't the way things have happened. The word for it is 'DEBACLE'.

In fact I bet their are a ton of lesson to be learned from the Indian Wars.

Clark detests Rummy for cancelling that overgrown self propelled arty toy.
So are the rest of them.

"It delayed essential attacks on Iraq's military capabilities," said Mr Peters. "This encouraged at least some Iraqis in uniform to believe they had a chance to fight and win. Dear armchair on-the-dole retired military experts, shock and awe was designed to replace carpet bombing with prescision bombing. The book, if you take the time to stop counting your dole money and read it, is a blue print for how to use the new precision guided munitions without killing lots of innocent civilians. Are you suggesting that carpet bombing Baghdad would have been 'essential attacks on Iraq's military capabilities' ? How would old fashioned brute strength carpet bombing performed better here then prescision guided shock and awe ? Apparently you have also failed to notice that an uprising did ocur in Basra, which preceded a pullout of Iraqi troops. That small uprising apparently forced the Iraqis out into the open for another turkey shoot. Now 'Saddam' has ordered all his thugs to shoot any Iraqi who does not fight Americans. How long do you armchair on-the-dole retired military experts think the Iraqi people will put up with that ?
To: KQQL
Wesley Clark Who cares what is said by an 'military officer' who couldn't tell the difference between real and cardboard-cutout tanks?
