The Lead Moderator has graciously pointed out that Adam Yoshida's material is no longer welcome at Free Republic. And, I must agree. Yoshida is too extreme. And today, I failed to read the full context of the last paragraph in his recent message. It was correct to wipe the message off the board and I am heartened to know that the moderators are doing their job.

Many times, I did not post his stuff because of his extreme views. I should have done likewise this time. To my FRiends, rest assured that Yoshida's views are his - and some are very wrong.

I haven't had much time to spend at FR lately, I missed the article, which resulted in Adam Yoshida's essays being banned from FR.

So I went to his website, where the offending paragraph was quoted.

I can understand, why it is banned.

FR is under a great deal of scrunity, as we can see from this constant stream of alleged copyright violation complaints.

I think, that while many of Yoshida's points are right on the money, some of his more blunt opinions and points, if left posted at FR, could be used by our enemies to attack Free Republic, claim it's a hate-group, etc. We can all see, how the liberal enemies of the country are willing to take any grain of sand and turn it into a mountain.

So I hope that you and Yoshida will understand the context.

This is just strictly my opinion based on an educated guess, I have absolutely no information, as to the reason, but I think my guess as to the reason makes sense.

I think you are likely correct. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I agree with the piece being pulled. Occupational hazard sometimes forces me to read quickly and I missed the pertinent controversial point. But, the mods did their job and pulled it. I'm pleased.

The reality is this is what happens when politicians (lawyers) are much too COWARDLY to declare war and do what must be done.

In an otherwise well written article, the author suggested strong measures against fellow Americans. I failed to pick up on it while the mods did. I'll say it once more, they were right!
