John Edwards urges appeasement of Iran
Citizen Journal ^ | September 3 | Chris Prior

Posted on 09/03/2004 10:54:41 AM PDT by CJ-net

In a speech last week, Edwards assured us that a Kerry-Edwards administration would work to counter the threat posed by Iran’s attempts to build nuclear weapons by providing Iran with the ability to produce nuclear energy, which Iran avers to be the goal of its nuclear ambitions. President Kerry would provide Iran the means necessary to construct a nuclear reactor or two and thereby quench the Islamic Republic’s thirst.

I'm waiting to see if 150 small dead bodies change Putin's mind about helping Iran go nuclear.

Good! I'm glad Edwards said this. Idiot that he is. They are counting on the majority of the people to be too stupid to think that Iran would "ever" use nuclear power for a bad reason, but the joke's on them. Even dimwit dems know Iran can't be trusted and their golden boys Kerry/Edwards would be aiding and abetting the enemy.

Bump means "bump to the top" of the board so your thread gets displayed again. It's a good thing :-)

I guess he'll file a diplomatic lawsuit at the Security Council against Iran.

I'm sure the Breck Girl is more concerned with mussing his hair than with dealing with Iran.

Not a shock really. Note to John Edwards:

Uh, John, turn on your TV - preferably Fox - and check out what's happening in Russia. See how well that whole appeasement idea is working. Ask the Israelis blown up on buses how that's going. Check with the French journalists being held in Iraq as bait to change a French law. Earth to John and John, your ideas will get us all killed.

John Edwards is even more naive...

The problem is that he knows a great number of voters are not only naive, but down right stupid.

I wonder how much his retainer from Iran is? Then, if his statements come to pass, was the contigency payoff will be?

From about 1996 foward, the Clinton administration secretly worked very hard to re-open diplomatic relations with Iran. I even remember reading (I think Newsmax) that the administration was planning an October Surprise for the 2000 election that would've included giving official diplomatic status back to Iran. It is obvious that these people would rather sweep these problems under the rug...leaving them for others, than deal with them head-on.

As Krauthammer pointed out, this Holiday from History has caused irreparable harm to this country and the stability of the world. From Chinagate, N. Korea, Iraq, Iran and even the forced concessions with regards to Isreal and Palestine, these liberals have no idea how to deal with these problems...and in many cases, have only exacerbated them. Kerry would be an even worse nightmare, I fear.

"...more concerned with mussing his hair than with dealing with Iran."

I hear he was bought off by that promise of a liftime supply of Iranian Pommade. You know their slogan: "Be the Persian Version of the Loveliest of Men."
