I've been watching John Kerry pretty closely. One thing I've said for some time is -- he is no Algore, thankfully. Gore was famous for the crazy things he said: inventor of the internet, the movie "Love Story" was based upon his marriage, and the list went on and on and on.
To this point in time, although John Kerry has run a pretty lame campaign and made some pretty unwise decisions (in my opinion), he hasn't risen to the level of Doofus that Algore did early on.
Until last night. Last night on Fox News, in an attempt to gain points from President Bush's failure to support the extension of the Assault Weapons ban, John Kerry said the following:
"Al Qaeda, having put in its own manuals that we discovered in Afghanistan, an encouragement to its recruits -- go to America to buy assault weapons; find assault weapons in America."
If you believe Al Qaeda put "go to America to buy assault weapons" in its training manuals, I've got some really nice property in Florida I'd like to sell you.
Kerry hasn't risen to the level of Doofus, but that may now all change.
... and it said nothing about "assault weapons." That part is a complete and total Kerry LIE.
You know that picture of Kerry with his finger trying to choose a nostril to pick? After reading this, perhaps Monseir Fingerr is his secret advisor... His own personal Topo Gigio.
