My skin crawled reading it. It reminded me of the document found in "Icon", a really good novel by Frederick Forsythe..

Get the snipers off the White House roof.

How naive.

...a small, fringe group of political ideologues...

DUmmies surely realize how many FReepers are out there. We're not that "small" in number and therefore are definitely not "fringe".

I think whoever wrote this article probably lives surrounded by liberals wherever he or she goes, lives in a cocoon of liberalism... and thus can not fathom how many there are of us out there who believe as we do.

I'm thinking of 1984.

Since the Bush Administration has made such a point of enshrining and framing its relevance in the history of the Presidency, every measure should be taken to erase these efforts. This cleansing should go so far as to include redecoration of sections of the White House changed under the previous administration and the removal of all pictures, photos and references to Bush’s Presidency in the vanity galleries constructed for him during his period in office.

Uh-huh. "Down the memory hole." Just what they did in the USSR whenever someone fell from grace. Just erase any references and re-issue the new "history" books.

Then, in grand public ceremony, reopen the White House and surrounding grounds as they used to be. Drop the canvas screens, move the concrete barricades and checkpoints. Have television cameras there in the 'People’s House' during this process so the citizenry can see firsthand these symbols of our national troubles being dismantled and discarded. Take the tarps off of the statues in the DOJ. Get the snipers off the White House roof. Wipe the fear away from Washington.

Well, this I agree with. If Kerry is president, yes, remove all security. ;^)

Appalling!

This reads like the language used during the Russian revolution and the advance of the Nazi Party under Hitler.

A crazy authoritarian power grab of major proportions.

Very telling about the mentality of these people and it also limits the tools needed to defeat them.

You don't fix someone who thinks like this, you don't reason with them, you can't.

The only thing left out of this post is horrific accidental explosion that destroyed Washington, DC.

2084 will have arrived if this comes to pass: featuring the criminalization of the opposition.

His epitah is gonna say: Here lies a fool blown to smithereens by Radical Muslims because he didn't take the threat seriously!

This cracked me up. The whole theory banks on Democrats having far more policial capital than they could ever dream of obtaining. They are not likely to win the presidency by the huge margins that would be necessary. As a matter of fact, they are not likely to win the presidency at all.

Furthermore, they would require not merely the unlikely "slim" majority of the senate the author claims they will win, but rather a super majority, which is beyond impossible. They also would require a strong majority in the House of Representatives. The Presidency simply isn't that strong. They must know that on some level - if the President were as "vile" as they claim he is, he would have found ways to turn all of these ideas against them, especially since Republicans control Congress as well!

In addition, the entire plan relies on speculation here and there that simply won't materialize regarding public "outrage" to evidence that is purely conjecture.

These people have truly gone off the deep end. We are in a battle of sorts against them. It is to our advantage that they think they are stronger and more influential than they really are, for the best enemy is the one who does not know himself and the battle conditions around him.

This should be e-mailed to all the people you know who are undecided. Maybe Kerry could never articulate it, but this guy has "A Plan". This plan would make Stalin proud.
