Why John Lost. He Looked Like a Phony.
to a lot of Americans. He did not seem to be a War Hero, though he desperately wanted to be portrayed that way. That was his whole convention. He did not look like a hunter - that was ridiculous. He did not look like a catholic. He did not look like an athlete, but we saw him all summer as candidate X-treme sportsman. He looked like a phony and most voters hate that. Even if he - was - any of the above images, for real, he was never convincing. The worst thing is - none of it was needed. If he ran with his convictions and positions that guided his 20 year career he would have sailed into office, IMHO. So would Gore have. (Remember the weekly Gore upgrade, v5.7 Service Pak 2). Even if you utterly hate Bush he does not seem phony. (pure evil to many). But this party keeps propping up insincere frauds when there are many, many real deals around. Dean, Cuomo, Levin, Biden, etc. That's what the "moral issues" poll finding was all about, not the radical fringe issues.
Also, voters were handed Kerry by the party and national media and were told - you will learn to like him, with time, but don't know what is good for you. Like a bad arranged marriage. Women understand this and pushed back hard.
If we don't "get it" next time, we will lose next time to.

Positions? -- He had more than the Kama Sutra, and they all involved screwing America..
Kerry's 20 Senate "career" was a joke, an expensive and ineffective freaking waste of taxpayer money...
This poor DU bastard doesn't have a clue, and certainly didn't know Kerry well enough to vote for him..
