I run a website for the local Chamber of Commerce. It is not much of a site, but the members want a business directory for visitors to know where to eat, camp, sleep, etc. I use Frontpage 2003.
Today the boss asked me about Pod-casting on the site. He would like it to be like a local radio station with news, traffic, advertising and entertainment, presumably from the local barbershop quartet.
I asked my hosting service about this an I am the only one who has ever mentioned it, so they will have to get back to me.
Does anyone know about this? Do I need my own server? Special software and hardware? What kind of bandwith costs would this take? How expensive is it?
I would appreciate any help, as the boss wants an answer today, but it ain't gonna happen until I get some facts.
Thanks
pinging some experts there was a guy posting who ran a podcasting software company. I'll ping him when I remember his freepname.
NO... but try a Web Search Here is some of the results. You might contact the appropriate people at these sites for info:

Here is a guy that does POD CAST http://bkla.blogspot.com/
The best results seem to be on PODCAST as opposed to POD CAST
iPodder.org : Open this result in new window
... Together they've put together a weekly variety show Podcast that is really unique ... my new RPG Anime trading card game as I create it - a PODCAST reality show of sorts

Rather than try to explain it, better get the movie. I hate to give away endings!
LOL!!!!
Thanks for the quick replies, I will get busy on the URL's.
I'm still in the midst of teaching myself how - I won't have a handle for a few days yet...
