No, I didn't want to offend those on this forum that hold PCR in such great esteem.

Let's see here...the United States Army is an Army of freedom and only there temporarily...
the Syrian Army has ALWAYS been an Army of occupation, especially in Lebanon.....
anyone see the difference....

This idiot actually draws a dirct parallel to the moral authority of the US and Syria?

I fear you are going to get smoked by everyone who comes by, as it might appear you agree with this idiot.

No worries. I'll deal with it . . . and maybe those folks will someday see me going toe-to-toe with the PCR fanatics here, as I regularly do.

By the way, I don't know where you got that screenname, but it doesn't seem to be true.
Be well.

I love a well thought out, cogent argument from the other side, but thinly reasoned silly tripe is not worth the effort.

Unlike the U.S. in Iraq, the Syrians have managed to perform the role of peacekeeper in Lebanon without leveling entire cities, destroying Lebanons infrastructure, and killing tens of thousands of civilians.Ah, yes. Syria is better than America. And I bet they don't have a trade deficit with China.
How many Iraqi cities did we level again? Was it 10 or 12? And I heard we killed a million civilians.

I love this guy. Here's another good one.
The last thing wanted by the rulers of those countries, as well as the leaders of Egypt and Pakistan, is more instability that will play into the hands of such Islamist revolutionaries as Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
Yeah, bin Laden and Zarqawi are in a much stronger position than they were in September 2001. Then they only had free rein in Afghanistan and money and training from Saddam. Now they've got....I forget, what exactly do they have?
Oh, yeah, instability. Yeah, that's much better than before. Glad Craig could find the imaginary crap filling in the midst of all the progress we've made.

If Lebanon cannot have free elections while under foreign military occupation, how, asks the rest of the world, does Iraq have free elections when it is under U.S. military occupation?Drawing moral equivalence between Syria and the US is a disqualifier. Thanks for leading with it - saves me time.
