It isn't. My comment was in reply to what is merely a side-issue. The press wants to promote the idea that his poll numbers are down because he acted, and I believe its the opposite, his polls are down because he has failed to act. Its just an opinion, obviously.
What is so wrong with the rule of law?
Nothing at all. But there are several issues. One is the separation of powers; the separate branches of government are separate-but-equal. Judges rule on matters of law, and congress makes that law. In this case, however, the judges have rejected acts of congress that they have found inconvenient.
We also have a governor asking a judge for permission before he enforces a law, and a judge denying him permission to enforce that law. If you get the chance, may I recommend Mark Levin's "Men in Black"... he covers this issue in great detail, its important reading, never more so that now.
There is another issue, and that is that laws are imperfect. Meditate on the policeman whose job it is to make sure the girl's mother doesn't bring a glass of water to her dying daughter.
