In a June 2004 letter to US bishops enunciating principles of worthiness for communion recipients, Ratzinger specified that strong and open supporters of abortion should be denied the Catholic sacrament, for being guilty of a "grave sin."
Why does this not surprise me? You cant, CANNOT be a Catholic and not abide by its faith and tenets. There are rules Catholics must follow, and if you cant, go to the church of... how did you say it? oh yeah,
Why dont you form a breakaway church? Call it The First Church of the Universal Whatever.
And it being Roves fault? Man, he is just amazing.

This is funny. I didn't realize a letter to the Bishops was the same as a full page ad in USA Today. What morons.

"Benedict XVI is a despicable, and he has directly intervened in American politics."
Did he urge thousands of Catholics to write to Ohio voters and encourage them to vote for Bush?

Yes, DUmmies, now you can blame the new Pope for keeping the EVIL Bush Regime in power.
The Bush regime reigns supreme!!!

Any church that, for starters, denies women the right to leadership positions AND refuses to allow birth control ... or even condoms to be used to help stop the AIDS pandemic in Africa ... is BULLSHIT! And don't even get me started on a woman's right to have control over her own BODY. I know the Catholic church doesn't care if it has my respect or not ... but it has lost every bit of respect I ever had for the faith of my girlhood. This Rat-zinger is a misogynist and a homophobe. And he can kiss my lapsed-Catholic ass! I wonder what this DUmmie thinks of the peaceful religion of islam?

I don't know if this is correct but, didn't Cardinal McCarrick from D.C. have something to do with trying NOT to distribute this?

It always amazes me how closed-minded the left is when it comes to religion, and conservative thinking people. They don't have the tiniest inkling what it was like to grow up in Nazi Germany, and have your life on the line every day.

I say remove the tax exempt status and charge the church with criminal intent to interfere with a U S election.
The DUmmies have such a cute childlike understanding of law, government, and the constitution. They hear something they don't like, they happen to recall a law forbidding something , and then they try to fit the square peg into the round hole. If a=b, and b=c, then a must equal f.
