If you are unfamiliar with this controversy/scandal, please refer to the links in post #2 below. The first link takes you to the article that first brought this issue to the public's attention in a major way (published in the conservative journal, Policy Review, Hoover Inst.).

The second link takes you to an article that shows how the political Left duped well-meaning conservatives into joining the phony "War on AIDS."

See links in post #2.

Please...

What is your point?

Are you saying that AIDS does not exist or does not hurt people?

What is the value of this discovery/theory?

So are there people with AIDS who don't have HIV?

See links in post #2 if you are unfamiliar with this public health scandal (the biggest on record IMO).

See post #2 if you are unfamiliar with this public health scandal. Once the truth gets out, conservatives will be absolutely outraged.

For the entire history behind the medical scandal that is AIDS, please refer to the very interesting audio files at the following website:

It's a very old (early 90s) completely discredited theory that the HIV virus doesn't cause AIDS and AIDS is not a communicable disease.

I've already asked him to find someone with AIDS or that has tested positive for HIV and get injected with a bit of his blood every day for a year, if he's so confident.

There is in fact a great deal of mythology about AIDS; however, that HIV causes it is not one of the myths.

For a non-kook discussion of many of the myths http://www.fumento.com is a fine source.

Maybe. But there are countless urban legends that ain't so.

Are you suggesting 10,000 researchers on seven continents are involved a great conspiracy against the truth? Or 10,000 bio-medical professionals over 20 years in thousands of laboratories in 50 countries with advanced capabilities who are ignorant and bamboozled?

Maybe. But improbable.

Oy Vey! I saw the Israeli Flag pasted higher on the page than the American Flag, which raises suspicion.

What have flags to do with the subject?

Not that I care, but it says something about the author of the page and credibility.

That's the problem with cranks. They could be 100% spot on telling the truth, but poison the well with their ego.

The point is that AIDS may not exist since it is a syndrome indicated by several diseases not common.

It like Agent orange causing some non defines symptoms.

"It's a very old (early 90s) completely discredited theory that the HIV virus doesn't cause AIDS and AIDS is not a communicable disease."

Discredited by who?

Rather, it's endorsed by many top scientists and researchers.

"I've already asked him to find someone with AIDS or that has tested positive for HIV and get injected with a bit of his blood every day for a year, if he's so confident."

Dr Peter Duesberg has offered to, but the CDC has turned him down. If he were to do it on his own, he'd lose the various licenses he has which let him research anything he wants.

Hey, I'm sympathetic to the cause, but don't you think that there is something to post other than a 14 year old letter to the editor?

OK, Just I read the link, and I must say this as clear as possible...

BULL$#!T

In the article:
"Neither AIDS nor HIV can be found extensively in Asia or the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe."

Currently these regions are some of the hardest hit by AIDS - probably because their leaders are as gulible as you.

In the article:
"Even in Uganda, however, which has a reputation for conscientious reporting, 800,000 people are HIV positive, but only 10,000 are reported to have died of AIDS."

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) - weakens the body. Not everyone with AIDS will die of the disease, but many will. AIDS is definetely a deadly disease. Most people who die from AIDS itself usually die from one of the opportunistic diseases that are seen in persons with AIDS.

Unfortunately, these opportunistic diseases that kill people with AIDS are reported as the only cause of death - this helps countries like Uganda avoid a costly AIDS social program.

Go to www.duesberg.com for up-to-date information. The letter is an open letter to the editor that the group has been pushing ever since. The list of scientists who sign the petition grows by over 10 per week (not to mention all the lay people--especially conservative--who sign up on a daily basis).
