Oh, your right! Sorry! As Emily Latella would say...nevermind! I remember reading a book waaaaaay back when, she was in remission (or thought she was)...it talked about all the different things she tried. It was such a positive and funny book. I was so impressed with how Gene Wilder dealt with her death. I thought he started a center in her name. She was SUCH a funny lady.

Don't you just love how the mod keeps telling us not to discuss motives, but she herself has made comments in that thread of "I question the motives of these new members."

LOL.

That Thunderdome is something, isn't it? I haven't spent much time over there in the past, but with AndyScam, well...you know!

Well, I got a headache reading over there late last night.

I think the mods are on power trips!

After being over there the past several weeks, I now know why I love FR...LOL

That Mod is wielding too much power. Very inconsistent.

Thing are looking to heat up in the Dome....the players are awake and online.

Same here. I have no desire to participate in all that fighting over there. If the mods here participated the way they do over at CU, I wouldn't be involved here. I love the way it is done here. That Scott was an ass last night. Especially to Ree.

They must figure it is Better to divorce yourself from reality in this situation like they do in so many other situations.

DUmmies would have to know what reality is before they could grant it a divorce. I haven't seen much over there at the ant farm that makes me think that any of them would recognize reality if they fell into an ocean of it.

Well I have seen it posted twice over there, that Scott is not a mod on the forum. Now what the heck do they mean by that. I saw first in the thunderdome last night posted by dark halo, and then again by Melissa? i think.

As far as I can tell, each forum at CU has it's own specified Mods. They apparently are allowed to post on other forums with their Mod Moniker but not in any official capacity.

Another thing, I think the mods are so involved over there because they allow the DUers to stir up crap, allow the vulgar language and fighting. Granted they want most of it in the dome. That site allows it so that's the type of people that participate and they have to be "on it". Whereas here, there is more respect and FR doesn't allow disruptors. I think it's funny here at FR when posters start getting into it and a mod pops in and says "Knock it off". That's it. Done. It stops.

That's correct. What was weird to me last night is that Ree signed up her boyfriend here and he posted something about guns being sighted. Ree was also over at CU posting and Scott told her she better tell her hubby to not post about guns being sighted. So I came back over here and that post had been deleted and Ree had been banned. For a minute, I thought Scott was a mod here also! Then I figured he was probably following both CU and FR at the same time like I was.

Scott may have hit abuse on Ree's boyfriend, causing trouble and showing power.

Either they or Andy or both haven't done enough research on this to convince anyone with half a brain and a search engine. I've found everything online, with the exception of a couple of medical databases our local community college has access to, which is available to anyone (free...or paid by tax dollars) in the county with a library card.

Some of their stuff is just too obvious and meant to appeal to the most gullible and dreamy-eyed, like the "verifiable paper ballots" quote as he regained consciousness. Anyone who's been around someone who has had surgery would know this was highly unlikely.

The way he's constantly swinging from the healthy "vote-fraud" party boy to being "very ill" is rather interesting. The latest is their attempt to change reality and insist Andy lost a lot of weight...a whole 20lbs. is what I think "badboy" said. If Andy was diagnosed in February or even March (and even if he was misdiagnosed with gall stones or whatever), it's a sure bet he had the disease a while before that because by the time there are symptons the cancer has spread. By this time he wouldn't have lost a mere twenty pounds...he would be close to skin and bones. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that the beverages in front of Andy in the pics are soda water, but just by looking at his face and arms you can tell they have a healthy layer of fat and muscle. Unless someone airbrused it in, so as not to overly worry the dummies, NO WAY could those pictures taken in May been of someone who has pancreatic cancer. Since he didn't even have radiation or chemo, his cancer was still growing. But of course, everything about Andy has been such a miracle, one never knows.

He's had more than one biopsy, according to him and his cohorts, as well as every other test on the planet...either he's been unlucky enough to have the most incompetent doctors in the US (including ones at JH), or somebody's being slightly less than honest...because by now they would know more than they do. In most instances that I know of personally, sending the tumor to pathology after surgery generally confirms what the doctor knew already. However, it's NOT going to take a WEEK to get results back, not on something as critical as PC. These people don't even lie well...then again, I guess they don't have to because the people they're trying to sell this nonsense to would drink a pitcher of kool-aid before they bothered to look anything up themselves or even wonder about the inconsistencies and the lame excuses that follow.

Nor would surgery have put off this long...heck, HIS OWN doctor in WA should have put in a call to JH advocating for his patient if things were this serious. Given how experienced JH doctors are with PC, they would have IMMEDIATELY put Andy in touch with patient relations or whatever department works with destitute patients. If someone else, such as sfexpat2000, was making the financial arrangements, they would have had him sign a release or something granting her authority to act on his behalf. It would have been more practical, however, for Miss Waverly to do this since she actually works there. Guess she was too busy combing the hospital for missing checks.

The latest, though is Andy chatting it up in ICU. Badboy almost came right out and said someone in there had a cell phone. Once again, rules apply to everyone but them. Do a search on cell phone use in hospital and page after page comes up with various hospitals explaining their ban, or restriction to certain parts of the hospital.
NOTE to DUMMIES: THE ICU WOULD NOT BE ONE OF THOSE PLACES WHERE CELL PHONES WOULD BE ALLOWED.
I'm sure as time goes on and equipment improves (both for cell phones and monitoring equipment) this will change, but for now there's good reason for the rule. This is from Snopes (picked this one because it includes just about everything I read in other places):

"Although no real deaths have yet occurred, enough scary incidents have taken place that at least some hospitals have banned the use of cell phones on their premises, or at least in their trauma, critical care, and surgical areas. Cell phone interference has created false alarms in infant incubators and prompted heart monitors to spew results making it appear as if patients hooked up to them were in cardiac arrest. It has set off fire alarms and caused IV pumps to stop working. Worse, it has caused failures in some equipment necessary for the maintenance of life itself. For instance, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, a breathing machine for infants sputtered to a halt when a worker switched on a cellular telephone while medical equipment was being tested. That there was no baby attached to that gizmo at that time doesn't mean that a similar failure couldn't have happened when an infant's every breath was on the line." http://www.snopes.com/horrors/techno/hospital.htm

And from the FDA: A patient in the intensive care unit was receiving epinephrine by an infusion pump when a visitor received a cell phone call. When the phone was answered, the infusion pump increased the rate of the drip. The patient received an unintended bolus of medication and subsequently developed epinephrine toxicity. http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/fusenews/ufb39.html#2

Even so, I'd like to know how they got away with it since even people who have had minor surgery are monitored very closely for at least the first several hours. My husband had day surgery last year and someone came and checked on him about every 15 minutes until he was fully awake and could go home. I'm thinking I need to start a special list documenting all their inconsistencies and fantasies (lies) so they have a check list to work from. Andy would have been better off picking some slower growing cancer. The URGENCY to raise the money might not have been as intense but he would have been able to flit around the country and maintain his weight without arousing so much suspicion.

Someone posted that no cell phones allowed anywhere at JHH except the 1st floor. Remember when Andy was posting to DU and then goodboy popped in and said something to Andy about trying to contact Andy's cell phone and "oh" he must be using the cell phone with his laptop. Where was Andy doing this? Did he get wheeled down to the 1st floor? DUers say he wasn't in ICU long. Do they have an Internet Cafe at JHH? LOL I mean even if he was in a regular room, no cells allowed.
