You're a terrorist, don't you know

Just read this on DU. OK you FReepers: If you vote, you are a terrorist.

grannylib (1000+ posts) Thu Jul-21-05 01:12 PM Response to Reply #1 5. As a Christian, I totally agree. The radical "Christian" clerics in this country are no more representative of true Christianity than are the radical Muslim clerics representative of true Islam. The big difference is that few of the radical Christian clerics outwardly advocate violence. But they can more drastically change our way of life by political terrorism: holding candidates/elected/appointed officials hostage to their ideology by threatening to whithold their votes. If the great silent majority would just get off its collective ass and f******g VOTE, we could silence these ninnies once and for all.

They seem to have forgotten to mention the Earth Liberation Front as a terrorist organization. Or PETA.
And, last I checked, both of those groups were pretty far to the Left.

Screw DU.
It is nothing more than a collection of ill-bred children and whining nihilists. Not even worth my time and effort except to get a good chuckle or to shake my head in disbelief, bemoaning how far some around us have sunk.

Sorry. You cannot expect consistency from a leftist. You cannot be a leftist if you have it. The internal contradictions would send you to the nut-house. No Wait!! It already did.

I am starting to object to the use of the term ideology as here. After nearly 15 years of triangulation, to say thqat the difference between R and D is ideology constitutes a gross exaggeration.

Imagine voting for a candidate and expecting them to do what they promised.....how dare the constituents hold them hostage! Oh my!

Damn that democracy anyway! How dare we vote for those who we believe represent us!

Off topic, btw, but a great quote:
"I have often been called a Nazi, and, although it is unfair, I don't let it bother me. I don't let it bother me for one simple reason. No one has ever had a fantasy about being tied to a bed and sexually ravished by someone dressed as a liberal."

No, not offended. But I do know the Admins don't care much for threads that are totally about threads going at DU.
Personally, I don't give a rip, but it's not my server who's space is being wasted. It's Jim's.

Well, I wasn't actually aware of that. Maybe I should study the rules again. However, if I am notified that Jim objects, I will certainly stop. I can live with being banned from DU, but, while I don't actually post much on FR, I couldn't be happy if I couldn't.
But nothing that is good clean fun is a waste, IMO.
Cheers.

Ummm, I think that's exactly what we did in the last election. Problem is, idiot, the silent majority is the Christian right! Get a clue. Perhaps if you morons would develop a little faith you would not forever believe you are the victims of the moral majority. Heathens will never get it!
Your depravity knows no bounds and when reality hits right square between the eyes, you either ignore it or tell your constituents it is a conspiracy brought on by the evil Jesus freaks.
Heh, heh, keep it up. You are doing nothing but accelerating the demise of the DemoncRat party. RIP idiots!

Considering the DemocraticUnderground movement was originally founded by bomb throwing, grass smoking terrorists (60's radicals). They are one's to talk.

I just liked to point out their hypocrisy to them. I finally had enough people who hated me for the admins to do something about it.

IT's easy. Think of something good and decent. Then think of its exact opposite. Ther you go.
However, my technique was to take their principles (freedom of speech, say) and use logic to attack their positions. It worked quite well for a long time. I never took a liberal position on anything, although I did post a bit about my cats. Hey, you can be a cat-lover and a conservative, too. Although I'll admit there are a huge proportion of cat-lovers over there. I posted about barbecue, too.
