Hugh, my friend, feel thou not slammed. Just a bit of constructive criticism, Froggystyle.
Hosting Hassam Aloush (?) the SoCal head of C A I R for the first two hours of his program today, Hugh unwittingly turned the keys of his radio show over to an organization that has a long track record of apologizing for islamic terror. Im not sure if Hugh was simply unprepared for the interview, or in his zealousness to deconstruct the Tancredo Option that he decided to swing the conversation in the opposite direction.

His buddy Mark Steyn could have helped him out on all things Islamofascist and dhimmi as well. Mark takes no prisoners and no guff from these CAIR jerks.

Only a surprise to those who have mistaken Hewitt for a conservative.

I LOVE Hugh, but I was mad that he had the CAIR creep on yesterday when the CAIR guy was sounding sooooo reasonable UNTIL Hugh started asking "hard" questions like should Israel exist!! Then the Muslim creep was shown to be the LIAR that they all are.
Hey Hugh...when they say"we don't believe in killing "INNOCENTS", but they don't think Hews and Christians are innocents!!!

Hugh is one of my favorites. He doesn't fire off the first thing that comes in his head. He's right about Tancredo. As much gratification it might give us, bombing Mecca has no strategic value. The threat of bombing Mecca matters little to bin Laden and company. They could care less. Bin Laden, I believe, is not religious; but to get new recruits he must act like he is. He has other motives.

I will respectfully disagree about bin Laden. I think he is religious, perverted as his religious wing is. He really does believe his duty is to covert or kill for Allah.

I listened to the show yesterday. I did notice that Hugh was less than thrilled with some of the guy's answers. It will be interesting to see what happens when and if this CAIR guy and Gaffney meet on the air on Hugh's show.

I liked how he handled it.
Reeled him in, let him speak, then made him top in his tracks.
I didn't hear him legitimizing the readical muslim position in any way, and forced the CAIR guys to #1 expose some of what they consider to be mainstream views, but are in fact somewhat radical, and he also forced them to publicly distance themselves from the radical movement.

I understand what you are saying. I just wonder at times whether Hugh, in his search for responsible Muslims, isn't the little boy looking for the pony in the manure pile.

"I think he is religious, perverted as his religious wing is. He really does believe his duty is to covert or kill for Allah."
You may be right. However, his theology is a direct descendant of Wahabism. Wahabism is promoted and led by the royal family of Saudi Arabia and their allies. I don't think anybody believes the royal family, in general, actually believe in the religion they promote. Have you seen the pictures of various princes and family members at the beach or in clubs or bars? They promote that sect to cement their political power, yet when they leave the country their true secular selves appear. The 9/11 bin Laden followers met at strip clubs, drank, etc. Yes, on the surface bin Laden appears religious, but when he's not in front of the cameras?
