It sounds like it, but it's overPitted, more Pitt than Pitt.

Does the cable router connect into the Ethernet connection? And why can't I download while using Zone Alarm?

it is amazing how they throw the label 'fascism' around considering that these people are Deaniacs and that they love dictators such as Castro

Coz Zone Alarm thinks what you want to download is someone or something trying to get into your puter...U need to tell Zone Alarm what to block and what to let in.

i would move to Barbados in a heartbeat if I had the money.

What ever happened to that chick who was whining after the election that she wanted somebody to pay for her to learn French, pay for her to acquire some job skills, pay her relocation expenses, then give her a job in Canada, and THEN she'd be able to leave the evil USA?

The router goes in between your cable modem and the puter it connects into the nic card..very easy to install and set up...can also let you share your net connection on two or more puters.

This guy is pretty poetic. ("Winter is coming, blah blah blah . . .") Really example of style over substance. He must be that smelly guy I saw on the subway the other day, ranting about conspiracy while people slipped out & went to the other cars.

Winter is coming… yadda yadda yadda... Winter is coming…

I wonder how long that guy had been waiting to copy and paste that tedious tome?

The cable modem hooks to the router. The router hooks to the main computer by ethernet wire.

With most routers, you can then hook up 3 more computers by wire and up to 255 wirelessly.

I haven't used ZoneAlarm, but I know other people have had the same sort of problems you are having. What you are trying to do is create a decent firewall so that worm attacks can't get through to your computer. Check the status of the Windows firewall or any other software you might be running that might be a firewall.

My best guess is that either you have some ZoneAlarm settings causing you difficulty, or you have more than one firewall program running and the combination is causing the problems.

The reason I like the router is that I don't have to worry about firewalls on my computers and I can use multiple computers on the same cable. It doesn't, however, help with virus.

Time to split the wood. Time to can the food. Time to insulate the shelters

I'd like to see some DUmmies chop wood or do some canning. Probably wouldn't happen once they realize it's work...

Do not be surprised. Now there is not even the fetter of re-election hopes to temper Bush and his cronies. They are free to commit crimes against the Geneva Convetion, against the international community, against those who dissent, against the American people….and the republican congress will dissolve any present investigations into outings of CIA agents, of Halliburton sweetheart deals, of Abu Ghraib hierarchy, of falsified intelligence, of incompetence at the highest levels. All will evaporate. Those who sought to hold the administration’s feet to the fire will find themselves shutout, harassed and shut down. The loudest voices will be stilled. The most persistent critics will be disappeared.

In other words, no matter how many "scandals" we invent and blow completely out of proportion, there's absolutely no evidence to support them, and we know it. But rather than face reality, we, like any self-respecting conspiracy theorist, state that the total lack of evidence is proof in and of itself of powerful, shadowy forces participating in a cover-up.

they've silenced our collective voice and diminished our civil liberties.

I know, it's just awful that those censorship laws prevent you from criticizng the Administration on a public web forum or anything like that...

I think these kinds of posts are from fiction writers who live vicariously through their emotional rants and raves. The "old liberal friend" only exists in the mind of the writer, IMO.

The neocons have infiltrated power into every crevice of this country. They neutered the Dems with blackmail or threats or something. It's over.

Yeah, the best part is the total control we have over Hollywood and the major media.

I underestand! I will not go silently into that dark night. They are gonna hafta pry my gun from my cold, dead fist! I will fight the Faschists to the death!

A Redneck Spelling Bee champion and a gun owner? Prepare to be banned from DU!

The "conspiracy theorist" in me feels that a perfectly-timed LIHOP or MIHOP terrorist attack would be all the Fascists would need to completely takeover.

Yeah, look what that perfectly timed IHOP attack did to Michael Moore. ;)

Naw, it was too short and not repetitive enough for PPP.

He has really never worked a day in his life. Everything he touches, he drives into the ground, now even the country. Time after time he was set up by the rich and powerful though he is completely incompetent. (Who else would get into Yale and Harvard with barely a C average in HS?)

Kerry? Was he talking about his hero? He would NOT be talking about...
