ZFacts

Posted on 08/11/2005 9:13:18 AM PDT by Allen In Texas Hill Country

I liberal friend of mine just threw the web site, zfacts, in my face as proving that all the nations ills can be traced to Republican presidents. I poked around looking into zfacts and saw something about how zfacts has hooked itself into google in a manner such that searchs are more likely referenced to zfacts if it was political or debt related.

Is this possible.

National Debt Heads for 50-Year Record
President Bush's 2005 budget promises to set a 50-year record with the gross national debt. Bush's turn-around is even sharper than Reagan's in 1980.

What? How about a 200 year record? When is the last time this country was not in debt? Too stupid to comment further on.

Google has just shot itself in both feet and the groin with its CEO's hissy fit regarding using Google to find info on him.

Your home page is interesting. I am curious as to how you can love Free Republic so much and state on your page you are "Adamantly pro choice" as that is a position very much against the majority of posters here. Does it cause you a lot of problems?

This is the most amazing graphical presentation of the Federal Debt since the OMB presentation seven years ago. We'll be okay so long as the top of the stack stays under 100%.

Just poking around zfacts, it only gets information from leftist sources ( I checked out the nuclear power threads).
You need to show your friend http://www.factcheck.org/ which don't seem to be skewed one way or the other.

If you want to look at colorful pictures, these at least are sourced better than zfacts and - to the best of my recollection and understanding - appear to present accurate figures compared in reasonable ways.

The truth, of course, is that the current national debt, while too high IMO, isn't really a big deal when considered with the GNP.

Since I also state that I have most of life's answers not too much causes me concern. Outside the close circle of my family that is.

I would/might respectfully disagree with you. I kinda think FreeRepublic contains a broad spectrum of religious and non-religious people. Substituting religion for abortion that is. As to the count on each side,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it would be interesting.

This is one of the craziest graphs I have ever seen.

It is a jello chart, designed to compete with the pie chart.

Thanks for the post, Allen.
