Don't need more underwear, Muttly:

The O/U is for Trap and Skeet. Still deciding on either an Ithica, Remington or Mossburg Punp Action 12 gauge.

Jack.

I am bringing only .256 Win Mag so if I get killed, they can't fire my stuff.

So there.

I win.

Here's a very instuctive post on The High Road. An after action report. Several other threads in the Strategies and Tactics wire. Certainly caused me to start an deeper review of my own preps.

Lessons learned from recent NO bug-outs

The escape pod concept will be great, if the USCG is not ordered to close the port of San Diego.

Which hopefully they will not be ordered to do.

On the plus side, the escape pod can carry 100s of gallons of fresh water, 180 of diesel, and I can make electricity 3 ways. We've spent 60+ days at sea non-stop (Guam to Cali) so I know we could do 100+ if it came down to crunch time.

I think all guests are also expected to bring 100# of propane.

Great stuff. Muttly's 8,638,948,622,047....cents :

I have lost rings before. Even off of my WARM, furry, live paws. Pass on that one.

Medussa is a great idea, and note...a REVOLVER. If an L-Frame ENHANCED could be had, a 7-SHOT!...even better. The L cylinder is said to be even longer than an N-frame's, so longer, heavier bullets could and should be used, if possible. My only major question (ain't I a pain in the butt...? Cute, though) is how strong is the arrangement which holds all this different stuff in....will it break under heavy loads...???? Nice to have something else to fire all this 9mm Export ammo in...tee-hee....but I feel secure behind this here gold-plated hopper-fed Kolibri Gattling gun. They'll rue the day they messed with ME!

About ACTUAL extended social-breakdown death and dying everywhere starving masses on the prowl.....no law no how nowhere..all bets are off stuff (did I qualify that enough for our legal department, Johnny...??)..
.......a double barrel, double trigger 12ga., hopefully a 3" or 3 1/2"...and a neatly applied hacksaw blade should be the most useful tool in the family protector's kit...bar none.

So...12ga. 3" mag. pump shotgun, with pistol-grip stock, side-saddle ammo carrier, perhaps magazine extension to 18" barrel....great.

Double barrel, double trigger 12ga. 3", 16", pistol grip.

Have a nice day. I hope it lasts.

Did I mention WATER PURIFICATION equipment as the most valuable thing....everything else being "negotiable"....food is everywhere. Only, some times it shoots at you first.

Underwear optional.

Yes, enough to feed the 800 of us who will be showing up.
(After reading The High Road thread, Squantos should be prepared for at least that many "friends of friends of friends" to arrive.)

Yep I'm watching and reading the high road thread on water issues and not one of em has discussed the simple boiling process of purification yet....all about gadgets and gizmos, filters drops etc..... An old copper tea kettle w/ some salvaged copper tube will make a water distilling device ya can use on the BBQ grill or in a small camp fire or camp stove to make "pure" water even if it was contaminated with salt water or POL products.....

I'm really thankful I'm not there of course but the lessons learned here are gonna be valuable.....link me to the threads on such in NOLA as ya see em please....

Stay safe ya'll !

That's why I have the soft impact I don't have the heart to open up on families but if they push I can't sacrifice my own , I will help all that I can help without jeopardizing my family but push comes to shove I will do whatever is required.
