Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean complained that the timing of Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquists death was highly suspicious.
Last year, Reagan conveniently died just in time to take attention away from Bushs failed Iraq War and boost Bushs chances for reelection, said Dean. Now, in the midst of Bushs failure to prevent the extermination of downtrodden, minority New Orleans hurricane victims, Justice Rehnquist conveniently dies. Am I the only one who sees a pattern here?
Dean charged that presidential advisor Karl Rove was masterminding these strategically timed deaths of conservative icons. Not only do these deaths distract Americans from Bushs blunders, they also serve as a cover for Roves nefarious scheme to suppress Democratic voter turnout in next years Congressional elections by evacuating New Orleans hurricane victims to other states, claimed Dean.
Dean demanded that the Democratic Party be authorized to cast absentee ballots on behalf of the evacuated hurricane victims. These dispersed people are mostly poor and uneducated, said Dean. Many are on welfare. Others are driven to a life of crime. These are the people the Democratic Party represents. Who could object to us casting their ballots for them during this time of turmoil?
Dean said he will be working with key members of Congress to draft enabling legislation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is just satire, people! But, notice how it wouldn't shock any of us if Dean really did say this stuff.

Too looney, even for the DemoCraps...
I think it's sad for the democRAT party that we're not sure if this is satire.
You don't put jokes in news/currentevents.
He's only thinking it right now.
Ok dean put on your thinking cap... (Tinfoil hat)
I was looking of a Scrappleface link. Surely he can't be serious.
No no. Let him rattle on. This guy is the best recruiter for the Republican Party we have had in years.
Oh fooey! I was hoping he'd actually been insane enough to say it. It wouldn't be much more extreme than what he DOES say on a daily basis.
Satire? The funny thing is, it's tough to tell the difference when it comes to the good Dr.
No way can this be real. Dean is an idiot with a big mouth but not even he could say something so dumb and off the wall. Please be true.
