Billy, Veteran for Peace, delivers food to Reverand [sic] Moses L. Powell. Poweel [sic] will distribute the food to his community.
A Google for Reverend [sic] Moses L. Powell netted nothing. But there is this listing in the Times-Picayune for such a name, but with no mention of his reverend-ness.
DWI ARRESTS
Saturday, April 23, 2005This list of people booked with driving while intoxicated and related charges was provided by the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office.
APRIL 7-16
Moses L. Powell, 40, 327 Atlantic Ave., New Orleans, April 7, 10:50 p.m., at Dublin and Dixon streets, DWI.
As with the VFP's point man for Katrina relief, the phony Vietnam Combat Veteran Ward Reilly, it's very assuring to know these hundreds of tons of supplies are getting into trustworthy hands.
Where did they get all this food. It doesnt look like individual donations since there are pallet quantities of the same product. It looks more like a typical delivery load to a Safeway or Ralphs.
The only way to purchase pallet quantities is through a wholesaler, such as Costco. Show us the receipts as proof.
Another example of racism:
If this guy were not from the left, the caption from the Boston Globe would be: white guy wrestles debit card from poor reverend after leaving him in New Orleans to fend for himself.
------
seriously- if these guys are helping, that is great. This looks though a lot like the Kerry campaign where they are trying harder to convince others of their compassion than truly helping others in need.
It's a good thing those people aren't soldiers, because they wouldn't get a thing.

It's no wonder there are so many of these "reverends" around. And, somehow they are shown more respect than the President and his cabinet. Hmmm.
Thanks for giving the liberal another alibi for these people not getting out of NO. The police took his means of transportation before the hurricane, thus leaving him to fend for himself. /sarc
I don't know if being drunk behind the wheel indicates the inability to be helpful in times like this. But, it seems the left is pretty easy to please if you are on their side. Too bad Mr. Brown (FEMA) wasn't a flaming liberal- he could have done cocaine the night before and still had a job.
/sarc!!
100 tons? So, ONE Michael Moore.
"The good citizens of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama are certainly among this group, and I want to do whatever I can to be of assistance to them,
Staying the hell out of AL, MS and LA would be the best.
Good digging, Sam.
