Rioting Spreads From Paris Across France
Vanity | November 5th, 2005

Posted on 11/05/2005 9:32:26 AM PST by Allen H

This isn't anywhere near as articulate or even tempered as other things I've posted here, but I've been thinking about it all week and wanted to get it off my chest. muslim led violence in france continues. 897 cars burned just Saturday morning over night, just in that one night. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051105/ap_on_re_eu/france_rioting . A nursery was torched, and at least four other french cities have been hit with torched cars, and buildings. And yet, I DO NOT CARE!!!

This is a problem of the french's own making. For years they thumbed their noses at us, bringing in immigrants by the thousands for labor, with their own population aging and decrepit, and NOT requiring the immigrants to merge into their society, so the mostly arab and black muslim influx built their own little sub-culture, matching identically to that which they came from, not integrating at all like french society, like America encourages our immigrants to do. Now the french are paying for their stupidity, just letting anyone come in that wants in. And now they're paying for that stupidity, so let the country burn.

The irony is, france went SO FAR out of their way to oppose us in the war, partially because they had their hand in the cookie jar with hussein, tied up with tens of billions of the oil for food scandal, and partially because the french are simply the most arrogant obnoxious unlikable europeans there are, and they still have delusions that they're a great world power, so they opposed us, siding with the muslim radicals in almost every instance. But the muslims in france don't seem to be giving them any points for that do they?

What's even more ridiculous is that this all stemmed from two teenage muslim boys being electrocuted because they were running from police, who weren't even chasing them. The police were chasing someone else. So I wonder, what would the muslims have done if the french police had actually been chasing those two muslim kids and killed them on purpose? Would there be dead french littering the streets, burning school busses, and would there be a mushroom cloud over the Eiffel tower? Because if this is what the unintegrated muslim populace does responding to an accidental death of just two, I'd hate to see what they'd do if it was an on purpose. Oh well.

Maybe the french will learn something from this. Hopefully they'll learn that when you side with the devil, you will still get burned, and it would be better to listen to us from now on. I doubt it though. france can burn to the ground and it's government collapse for all I care. They are no ally of ours and haven't been for a long time. If we ever send troops there it should be ONLY to protect the cemeteries of our fallen heros on Normandy and other places in france. I just knew a couple years ago when the french opposed us we should have retrieved all the bodies of the fallen WWI and WWII heros and brought them home. They wouldn't want to be buried in the trash heap of France anyway. As far as I'm concerned, the bodies of our fallen dead are the only thing of value in france anyway.

Don't the French know they shouldn't be fighting the rioters. It will only make things worse.

As much as I agree that this is largely a problem of their own making, I would never dream of unearthing the graves of those brave young men who died at Normandy. They died protecting freedom, doing what they loved. I think it would be quite unceremonious to remove them from where they've laid for 60 years, not to mention the cost.

"As far as I'm concerned, the bodies of our fallen dead are the only thing of value in france anyway." I agree with you and also worry that the fanatics will start desecrating the resting places of our brave soldiers, just to provoke the USA into action. Of course, FRANCE won't do anything to stop them. It's a good way for that country to once again stick it to the US. I'm sure they would not pass up the opportunity should it arise.

They have a bus load of nuclears as well as about 500 nuclear facilities that may well need to be put under adult supervision before they fall into the wrong hands.

Oh you know, it's easy to say that. NO ONE has any great love for the French, but you know what? We're next. It seems likle rioting is breaking out all over now, and as soon as some idiot starts throwing molotov cocktails in Los Angeles, at a police car, they'll start here.
What are we going to do- wipe out whole neighborhoods? We're next. We're too weak to do what needs to be done.

The French are, as noted above, overrun by their own ignorance. They have let themselves become one of the largest European havens for militant Islamists and are now reaping what they have sown. I feel for the moderate Muslims, women and children that are trapped in thesse semi-combat zones as they will be the unfortunate recipients of the militants as they always are. However, these moderate Muslims, if there are any there have allowed these militants to overtake their communities and therefore bear a good deal of the blame. The rest falls upon the Frog government. The majority of the French populace is as disgusted with Shit-raq as the rest of us but yet they do nothing about it. In most polls, for whatever those are worth these days, America has a highly favorable rating among the people of France. I agree that the onus of the problem is on the Frog leadership and this could bring about a larger unrest that the gov't is ill-equipped to handle. All of our brave soldiers, sailors and airmen who are interred there must be spinning in their graves......God rest their souls.

Which should make it painfully obvious we're not dealing with the sharpest knives in the drawer here. This level of stupidity lays waste all liberal arguments of "We need to establish a dialog with them." In order to establish a dialog, the other side must possess at least some rudimentary form of intelligence.

Americans are armed and not afraid to act in defense of their communities and private property.

Europeans are for the most part disarmed cowards hiding in their houses waiting for their government to make things safe again for them.

There are about a hundred million Americans just itching for some on street target practice should something like this start here. We don't wait for the police here and in fact will sweep them aside when necessary to protect our interests.

I don't know. The idea of so many brave Americans being buried in a socialistic sess pool like franch who NO LONGER appreciates the ultimate sacrifice made by them, just makes me want to throw up. I would give anything if all the American soldiers, Marines, sailors, and airmen burried in France could be respectfully exumed under honor guard and brought to the States for burial in a nation that appreciates their sacrifice and respects and honors them. I wish we'd of never burried any of our men and women over there in the first place. They deserve better.

There should be HELL to pay if that happens. God help the sorry SOB that desecrates the grave of a military hero. I hope we have armed personnel at all of the cemetaries where American war dead are burried. Anyone attempting to desecrate any of those graves should be treated as an enemy combatant and shot on sight. There is NO EXCUSE for that kind of barbarity and disrespect.

Yeah that is amazing. My Dad comments on this all the time when some sports team from LA or Detroit or a town where riots are frequent, makes it to the playoffs, wondering if cars will burn and be overturned, windows will be broken, and shops broken into and looted out of anger because the team lost, or out of "joy" because the team won. I sure don't get that.

The Muslims have picked well. The French are experts at surrendering. Handling racist rioters with kid gloves is a good way to lose the country - again.

This time we wont get it back for the frogs.

The Muslims are driven by envy. What they do not realize is that the country of France did not just drop out of the sky one day complete with a modern civilization, buildings, infrastructure, hospitals, universities etc.

Muslims believe that if they take over everything will stay the same and they can all enjoy the good life without the trouble and pain of constant hard work.

Ignorant have-not's always make this mistake. See South Africa.

Agreed. All the touchie feely nicey nice warm fuzzy PC crap just gets you killed. What we should be doing it actually deporting the hundreds of thousands of the 6 million muslims in the U.S. that refuse to join American society. If they want to continue to live as though they're in an arab or african country, they need to go BACK to an arab or african country. People from that part of the world who come here who want to conribute to America and join it's populace integrate in by joining society and embracing American culture. The ones that reject American culture and traditions are the same kind of radicals that are torching cars in france right now. If all the muslims in America were peace loving people who embrace American culture and love this country for its freedoms, there would be no problem. But the sad fact is, MANY of that 6+ million in the U.S. are NOT like that. And they need to be deported.

But actually there are nowhere near 6,000,000 Muslims in the USA (fortunately for us), and the claim that there are is a perfect example of the Muslim doctrine of "taqqiyah", which is to lie when doing so benefits Islam. The uncritical acceptance by others of the belief that there are so many and THERFORE they deserve our respect and political accommodation is part of the grand strategy. (The true number is about 1,200,000.

If ever there was a need for a well regulated militia of the civilian populace, it would be if muslims started taking to the streets torching cars. Thank God for the 2nd Amendment.

Amen. Furthermore, we can use the many acres turned to ash in france for out land fills and for dumping nuclear waste. Then we don't have to use up American real estate for it anymore. See, there are a lot of things that we make lemonaide out of this situation with. 8) It is so biterly ironic that for all their pandering and bending over and grabbing of the ankles the french have done in dealing with the muslim world, it hasn't helped them ONE SINGLE BIT!!! Which proves the fact that muslims respect only STRENGTH in opponants. And the only strength in the french is in their odor. They're a weak inbred immoral society that has outlived its useful life by at least 60 years. Now they are paying the price for that arrogant smug weakness and I could give a fuzzy rip about them. Let them try and turn their noses up to us now.

Perhaps some of our C-130 crews could use some extra live fire training on the Daisy Cutters. We could level the muslims doing this, and give the frenchie french a clinic in how to have a spine. Our burried heros are just about in better shape to handle it then the french are. It makes me really sad thinking they're up in Heaven, seeing all this, possibly saying to themselves "I died to free THAT! What the hell?" 8( It makes their sacrifice all the more valuable in my mind. They did it for a people that don't appreciate it and look down their noses at Americans, but they did it anyway, because it was RIGHT, not because they'd be appreciated. God I love our military. I'd rather pay for and have dinner with any honorable member of our military than any table full of french aristocracy who paid my dinner. Hands down.

If most of the french people like Americans so much, why do they keep picking such socialist leaning anti-Christian / anti-Semitic / anti-American government officials? And why do I still only hear about how snobbish and arrogant the french are whenever anyone goes to franch. I never hear stories about how nice and friendly the french are. Only that they're so snobbish and obnoxious and arrogant and really treat Americans like garbage. I think maybe that poll was conducted by the liberal media or someone in france.

Immediately after the September 11 attack on America, President Bush recognized that the United States is at war with international terrorism and vowed to fight--and win--this war on the enemy's territory and not in America. He has done exactly that.

The September 11 attack has never been repeated in America, thanks to President Bush.

Meanwhile the Left, in America, Europe, and all over the world, has demonized him; fought against him; conducted a relentless, ruthless, mendacious, and vicious propaganda war against him personally; and has done everything within its power to thwart, to frustrate, and to prevent the success of his policies--policies that are honest, forthright, honorable, and absolutely necessary if Western Civilization is to survive.

The Western Left--as much as anything--is responsible for the explosive international situation, bears the guilt, and will be condemned by history for it.

The Left is the enabler of international terrorism and those who would destroy the United States and Western Civilization.

And the Left constitutes a fifth column within the West itself, in de facto alliance with international terrorism.

History has already made this judgment.

Right on. I for one would be taking a knee behind a tree cutting down as many as I could if that ever happens here. If it happened anywhere I could drive to in time, I'd be happy to go there and do the same. I would like to think that if that kind of mass violent riot happened where I am, that good Americans would bring their arms and help put a stop to it. Let the courts try to convict good Americans who quelled an armed riot by muslim extremists. Good luck. The lesson needs to be taught that if you are going to come to American streets and start buring cars and homes and businesses, you will be met by the Americans who live there and in the near vicinity, and they will be armed, and they WILL KILL YOU! That is the only kind of strength lesson the muslim world understands. As my father has said "the best way to be left alone is to kick your adversary in the b***s and so utterly destroy them that they wet themselves in the future if they EVER consider crossing you again, and so they tell their friends, "don't cross those Americans. They're mean SOBs. Leave them alone." THAT is how you stop terrorism. Kill all you can find, and be so ruthless in doing so, the ones that survive are so scared of you they never want to cross you again. That's the reality of war.

There is an important difference in the tactical situation of France and the US. In Paris particularly the Infidels surround the city in the suburbs. In addition the major airport in Paris is surrounded by Muslim high-rises.

In the US the Muslims tend to be concentrated in inner cities where they could be cut off and isolated.

The French are amazingly stupid when it comes to military tactics.

Amen. There are more than enough red State Americans that wouldn't take that crap lying down. And in addition to firearms we can make molitov cocktails too if they ever try that crap here. Now if something like this ever happens in Massachusetts, Vermont, or other the super liberal areas of New England, California and Washington State, might be a different story. But I feel a deep swelling of pity for the stupid SOB that tries something like this in a strong red area. Most American didn't check their spines at the door when they entered the 21st Century.

Excellent point. They don't understand that what created the western democratic standard of living is hard work and western values and all the things that muslims fight us because of. I mean, it's no coinsidence that the most educated and literate muslim people in the world with the highest per-capita yearly income are the Palestinians. They've been sponging off of the benefits of the Israeli school system, economy, etc for 57 years. Hello??? All other muslim nations are largely illiterate uneducated poor wretches and it's all because they live under islam which controls all. If they take over france some day, then the south of England will be a great place to launch massive air strikes against them and destroy all things muslim in france. Not to liberate, just to kill muslim extremists. I could care less about doing a thing to help france. What have they done for us lately? Other than oppose us at every turn.

REALLY??? AWESOME!!! I had for years heard the number cited that there were 6 million or more muslims living in the U.S.. BOY I sure hope you're right on that. 6 million would be about 2% (5.90 million) of the U.S. population (295 million roughly) If it's only 1.2 million, that's Much preferable. 1.2 million is only about 0.4% of the population. I hope it goes down and not up. Everywhere muslims go, they have proven ALL through history that they only tolerate others so long as they're the minority. EVERY culture, past and present in ALL of history, whenever they become the majority, they brutally take over the country, and oppress the rest of the populatio, either killing or deporting those that aren't muslim, unless they become muslim themselves. So the fewer muslims in America the better. The fact that most muslim nations will throw you in jail for having a Bible or Torah, yet we let them come here and rearrange the work place or schools for muslims says it all. They don't bend for others, we should NOT bend for them. EVER!!! Screw muslims if they don't like it. They can feel free to go back to the other 55 muslim oppressed poor squaller nations. No one asked them to come here and tell us how we should do things in OUR country.

ACHERES, France - Youths armed with gasoline bombs fanned out from Paris' poor, troubled suburbs to shatter the tranquility of leafier towns, torching 900 vehicles, a nursery school and other targets, police said Saturday, in the worst wave of arson since the urban violence began more than a week ago.

Police were forced to adapt, deploying a helicopter and small teams of officers to chase down youths who sped from one attack to another in cars and on motorbikes. The new security tactics yielded more than 250 arrests during the ninth straight night of unrest.

The violence, which was originally concentrated in neighborhoods northeast of Paris with large immigrant populations, is forcing France to confront anger long-simmering in its suburbs, where many Africans and their French-born children live on society's margins, struggling with unemployment, poor housing, racial discrimination, crime and a lack of opportunities.

From an outburst of fury over the deaths of two teenagers, the unrest is taking on unprecedented scope and intensity. Far-flung corners of France were hit by violence Saturday, from Rouen in Normandy to Bordeaux in the southwest to Strasbourg near the German border, although the Paris region has borne the brunt.

In quiet Acheres, on the edge of the St. Germain forest west of the capital, arsonists torched a nursery school, where part of the roof caved in, and about a dozen cars in four attacks over an hour that the mayor said seemed "perfectly organized."

Children's photos clung to the blackened walls, and melted plastic toys littered the floor. Some residents, gathered at the school gate, demanded that the army be deployed, or suggested that citizens band together to protect their neighborhoods. Mayor Alain Outreman tried to cool tempers.

"We are not going to start militias," he said. "You would have to be everywhere."

In one particularly malevolent attack, youths in the eastern Paris suburb of Meaux prevented paramedics from evacuating a sick person from a housing project. They pelted rescuers with rocks, then torched the waiting ambulance, an Interior Ministry official said.

By daybreak Saturday, 897 vehicles were destroyed — a sharp rise from the 500 burned a night earlier, police said. It was the worst one-day toll since the unrest broke out Oct. 27 following the accidental electrocution of the two teenagers who hid in a power substation, apparently believing police were chasing them.

Anger has spread to the Internet, with blogs mourning the youths. Along with messages of condolence and appeals for calm are insults targeting police, threats of more violence and warnings that the unrest will feed support for France's anti-immigration extreme right.

Police detained 258 people overnight, almost all in the Paris region, and dozens of them will be prosecuted, Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said after a government crisis meeting. He warned of possibly heavy sentences for torching cars.

Most rioting has been in towns with low-income housing projects where unemployment and distrust of police run high. But in a new development, arsonists were moving beyond their heavily policed neighborhoods to attack others with less security, national police spokesman Patrick Hamon said.

"They are very mobile, in cars or scooters... It is quite hard to combat," he said. "Most are young ... we have even seen young minors."

There appeared to be no coordination between separate groups in different areas, Hamon said. But within gangs, he added, youths are communicating by cell phones or e-mails.

A youth center and a police station were set ablaze in Torcy, close to Disneyland Paris.

On Saturday morning, more than 1,000 people took part in a silent march in one of the worst-hit suburbs, Aulnay-sous-Bois. Local officials wore sashes in the red-white-and-blue of the French flag as they filed past housing projects and the wrecks of burned cars. One white banner read "No to violence."

Anger was fanned days ago when a tear gas bomb exploded in a mosque in Clichy-sous-Bois, north of Paris — the same suburb where the youths were electrocuted. Officials have denied that police were to blame.

Sarkozy also has inflamed passions by referring to troublemakers as "scum."

Asked about Sarkozy's comments, the mosque's director Dalil Boubakeur said: "In such difficult circumstances, every word counts."

Your post couldn't be more accurate. The left are the enablers of the terrorists just like a spouse is an enabler for making excuses for their abusive partner who beats them and their kids.

The french are amazingly stupid when it comes to anything. Their either fanatical barbarians like under napolean, or they're cowards with no spin and no brain, like the past 100 years.

Ah but the difference is that the average frenchie french wuss is the majority of the french people. The rino wusses and liberals are the minority of the American people, and if push came to shove, there are MORE than enough people like us to very quick, very LOUD end to any kind of muslim riot like that in America. And the card carrying members of the ARA and all those who support them would be out in force to put that kind of crap to a speedy hault.
