VIDEO: Fox News and Hannity Rip CNN for Dissing Larry King

Over the past few days, stories have been leaking out suggesting that Larry King is getting old and isn't putting out the same quality show he used to. Despite this, CNN seems to be throwing him under the bus, as neither Jon Klein nor anyone else at CNN has come to Larry's defense.

This despite the fact that after Klein's gutting of CNN, Larry King Live is the only show left on CNN with ratings that aren't a total embarassment.

Last night, under the headline "We Respect Larry", Hannity & Colmes wondered why Jon Klein and his CNN destroying staff are ignoring the years and years of stellar ratings Larry King lead CNN too. Quite humorous that CNN is feeding their own to the wolves, and it takes Fox News coming to their defense.

Jon Klein...we must ask again...what the hell are you doing over there?

Yeah several days of articles ripping Larry King and not a peep from CNN. Not saying Larry King's show hasn't been in a tailspin in terms of quality, but you would expect your leadership to support you for all the time he's put in there.

Yeah, it's really sad to see them treat him this way.

I knew the CNN execs where scum, but I really didn't realize it was this bad. Spineless.

I imagine if Greta, Hannity and Colmes were coming to Larry's defense, there must be something to all of this.

In a perfect world, Larry King would have retired..on his own.

"Over the past few days, there's been a ton of articles coming out saying Larry King is losing it, he's too old, he can't hang on much longer"

Those articles are 10 years late. I used to be a fan of King, back when he was on radio, but his interviews have been sleepers. And not just cause their softballs.

Course, I wasn't aware he was still on the air.

Building on a year of massive ratings growth in 2005, Headline News will add Glenn Beck, a new topical talk show featuring radio personality Glenn Beck, to its prime-time line-up in April, it was announced today by Ken Jautz, executive vice president, CNN Worldwide.

My prediction: Beck will take over Nancy Grace's time slot on Headlines, and Grace will take over King's 9 pm slot on the mothership. King will get a big retirement special and do the occasional specials, or at least that's what they'll say.

King has been sliding into irrelevance for a few years now. Remember 1992, when he had Algore and Rossperot on to debate NAFTA? I don't remember the last time he had anyone serious on, other than the usual panel show on election nights.

Instead he has barn-burners like Carol Channing and a show remembering Jack Parr. The handwriting is on the wall, and it says that the only demo Larry King appeals to any more is dying off. His attempts to reach out to a younger audience end up bringing in nonentities like Ryan Seacrest.

Show me an example of 'Liberal loyalty'. . .it does not exist.

Individuals do not matter. . .you either serve the 'cause' or you do not.

In this case, the cause is CNN and it's ratings coffers. . .which they themselves continue to empty. . .without any help from Larry. . .
