Oklahoma City Bombing - 11 Years Ago Today

The BBC re-published an online article today that they first published 11 years ago. Note the following paragraph:

The State Department would not discuss the possibility of this being a terrorist attack but the FBI and Oklahoma police put out an alert for three men believed to be of Middle Eastern origin driving a brown Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and ten of his supporters are currently on trial for the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993.

We all know today that the government dropped its search for any connection to Middle East terrorists, despite strong evidence to the contrary. The Washington Post also has an interesting spin on the event:

"One of the great lessons of the Oklahoma City bombing is that the domestic radical right poses extremely serious threats," Potok [director of Intelligence Project] said. "It taught us that not all terrorists speak different languages, wear turbans or speak to different Gods."

Notice how the article excludes the radical left-wing groups that are also on FBI watch lists as terrorist groups.

Finally, we know today that just because Al Qaeda likes to train American citizens (ie. Jose Padilla) to carry out attacks, that does not mean that Americans acted alone. Based on some of the newly released documents connecting Saddam to the Philippines' Abu Sayyaf group (to whom Ramzi Yousef and Terry Nichols were connected), as well as Jayna Davis' 2004 book, "The Third Terrorist," there is more reason now than ever to take another look at the Oklahoma City case.

There's also an excellent chapter on the Middle East connection to the OKC bombing in Peter Lance's, "1000 Years for Revenge," Reganbooks, 2003, pages 308-318. I'm currently reading Lance's "Cover Up," which adds context, particularly concerning Ramzi Youssef's terrorist activities. He has a new book coming out in time for the 5th anniversary of 9/11. I believe it will be called Triple Cross.

On 4/19/95 we were travelling from Ottawa to Toronto, Canada. I must thank the Canadians for excellent radio broadcasting that kept us fully informed all the way. We had an overpowering need to make tracks for the U.S. border. You just have to be home when something bad happens to your country. No, I'll NEVER FORGET, and that applies to the Clinton administration's complicity in pinning the bombing on the American right. It kept us blind until 2001.

I have not forgotten. I got up yesterday morning thinking Fox & Friends would be talking about what happened 11 years earlier. If they did, I must have missed it. No mention of Waco either - that I heard.

There was a polaroid photograph found not to far from the murrah bombing shortly after the bombing.For quite a while after the bombing the photo was not shown on the media ,if I remember right a drawing (that looked NOTHING like the man in the photo)of the photo was shown.I finally saw the photograph on the media with the caption "the suspected true mastermind of the oklahoma city bombing".I recognized the person in the photo instantly.He was supposed to have been in a texas prison (hiding from me) at that time.I had filed a report on that person back in the early 90's (before the bombing) and was told by the FBI "We can't help you ,but we want you to keep trying".After seeing the photo on TV I then went back to the FBI and they REFUSED to accept my report and told me "What else can we not do for you so you will go away and leave us alone Mr. Chase"? At that time I didn't even know that the FBI had put out a $250,000 reward for identifing the man in the photo,I was doing it as my civic duty.
So I checked with TDC to see what prison he was supposed to be in and wrote a letter to the warden and all security personel to check the photo against that inmate and once you discover it's him ask where he was supposed to be when the photo was taken and after they had done that ask themselves where else was he when he was supposed to be in prison (he was also spotted at the airport in fla that the value jet crashed from, opening the cargo hatch and placing something inside.There are other VERY telling places where he was spotted such as at the location of other murders [such as the darlie rutier(sp?)case] and mass murders.I let them have some time to check the info and went to the prison and talked with one of the guards and was told "We checked,it's him,and we won't be letting him out anymore".
