White House Counsel Harriet Miers, the Supreme Court nominee who withdrew after a conservative revolt last fall, has allegedly vetoed several recommendations offered by conservatives to fill vacancies on federal courts.

Hmm. After getting thoroughly trashed by them, they expect her to cheerfully approve their recommendations...

Maybe I'm missing something.

Not at all. I'd expect Miers to hold a grudge and squash conservative candidates for the judiciary. Hey, she doesn't disappoint.
