Did Republicans Steal the 2004 Election?
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. writes in Rolling Stone: "After carefully examining the evidence, I've become convinced that the president's party mounted a massive, coordinated campaign to subvert the will of the people in 2004. Across the country, Republican election officials and party stalwarts employed a wide range of illegal and unethical tactics to fix the election."
"A review of the available data reveals that in Ohio alone, at least 357,000 voters, the overwhelming majority of them Democratic, were prevented from casting ballots or did not have their votes counted in 2004 -- more than enough to shift the results of an election decided by 118,601 votes. (See Ohio's Missing Votes) In what may be the single most astounding fact from the election, one in every four Ohio citizens who registered to vote in 2004 showed up at the polls only to discover that they were not listed on the rolls, thanks to GOP efforts to stem the unprecedented flood of Democrats eager to cast ballots."
The whiners never stopped discussing it. They will never be convinced that an "idiot" like Bush beat "geniuses" like them.

It's funny how they're wasting money on trying to find him after all this time.
Well, I want a recount and investigation of the 1960 election since you are complaining about the 2004 election.
PS: This self righteous, sniveling whine brought to us by the Original Party of Corruption, the Democrats.
It has been 8½ hours since it was last brought up and posted.

Think of it as not a discussion the election, but one of liberal paranoia and "thinking" processes.
Although, you could legitimately ask the same question to that also. Eventually it seems pointless to discuss leftist paranoia.
I think what we are trying to do here is find logicial thought processes for irrational behavior. Can't be done.
I did not that. Its sounds like a retread.

Yikes. I did a search of "stolen" and didn't come up with the other thread. Sorry. But on this thread you get my "insightful" commentary. Is that a mitigating circumstance?
Lock this thread if that is your best judgment. I hope you won't, but it IS a repeat. I do in all events request that you don't nuke it. I put some effort in trying to be entertaining, in my Torie way.
*clenched fist dramatically in front of own grimacing face*
Those.. dastardly.. possums!
It was... a.. plot.. all along!
/ end Shatner style enunciating.
It's dead Jim.
LOL!
I do think it has been thoroughly examined.
As someone in Ohio, I believe it is almost entirely attributable to bogus advance registrations submitted by MOVEON.ORG types who flocked to the state. There were numerous stories of illegal and nefarious payouts among dem leaders to turn in thousands of voter registrations.
The key to winning was having so many Republican observers and legal blockers to prevent provisional ballot fraud and just outright fraud by dems in the Cleveland area. With excess voter registrations, they could have cast thousands of 'after hours' ballots for kerry. This is where the Bush team was brilliant in Ohio.
Blackwell as sec of state was also instrumental on quashing a lot of this nonsense.
Now, he will hopefully crush his democratic opponent in the governors race this fall.
Obviously the solution is to abandon voting altogether, and simply decide elections via exit polls. You and your neighbors will file into the local school gym on election day, and mill about for a bit. Perhaps we could have coffee and donuts on hand, but in any case, after about twenty minutes or so of that, you'll be allowed to leave, either individually or in small groups. Whereupon you'll be polled at the egress about your choice for various offices. Simple, no?
Isn't that pretty much what they proposed in California?
