Let me know if you want on the DUmmie FUnnies PING List.
I did not have sex with that woman....!
It would seem that both may be scrutinized for any 'consulting' fees they may have paid through Blogola.

Also, DONKEY CONS is calling this 'Ko$ola'. I like Blogola better.
Let the wincing in the glare of truth commence!
"Rove Begins Blog Takover"
Damn lefties were all over this when it was Armstrong Williams.
What happened to Lil Beaver? It seems he's taken a lot of days off since he got his green card.....
. . . promote certain candidates and create a groundwell at the grassroots among the nutroots!
"It's a KOincidence, I tell ya, just a KOincidence!"
At the recently concluded "Yearly Kos" gathering in Las Vegas, candidate Mark Warner splurged for an extravagant sushi/ice sculpture/chocolate fountain "Blogosphere at the Stratosphere" bash for the KOmmies. Head KOmmie MarKO$ Moulit$a$, AKA Gov. Blogolarich, told Gov. Warner, "I've got to say, though, as a first date, this is pretty cool." And Warner replied, "If that was the first date, I hope we can get a second date. . . . Let's keep dating."
Maybe Gov. Warner doesn't realize that in Nevada you can get a "date" for a lot less than what he paid.
As clear as an ice sculpture.
It is classic money-laundering and pocket-lining.
Starting this afternoon and up until two months from today (August 21), I will be "standing down" from FR. Too much to do, too many places to go. Over the next nine weeks, I will be spending half of the time away from home:
A half-week in Chicago (June 21-24)
One week in Philadelphia (June 30-July 8)
One week in Colorado Springs (July 17-21)
One week in Door County, Wisconsin (July 22-29)
One week in Gothenburg, Sweden (August 14-21)
I'm speaking at conferences in Colorado and Sweden (which means extra time preparing papers). Philly and Wisconsin are family vacations. Chicago, my daughter and I are tagging along on my wife's business.
So hold down the fort, guys! I won't be DUFUing for PJ-Comix, or pinging the Swedish Ping List, or exchanging bon mots with martin_fierro and mikrofon. I'll check my own pings and FReepmail, I may lurk a little, maybe I'll pop in with the occasional post, but my life outside FR is getting a little too busy right now (not to mention ongoing pastoral duties and doctoral work) to be FReeping regularly. See ya after August 21!
"Still no explosion in the MSM..." Nor in other lib blogs. Gee, I wonder why?
Check out kausfiles.com. "KOS-olafest" by Mickey Kaus. Corruption Doesn't Require Illegality"
"I say you don't have to have illegality to have corruption and this situation (the Kos/Armstrong pay to play) reeks of corruption." Mickey Kaus
Over at captainsquartersblog.com the Captain has Big News that could go under the title, "Who Are the Gate- Keepers Now?"
Markos sent requests to a list of "elite liberal bloggers" asking that they, in effect, stand down on the story of him and Armstrong and the flow of political cash to Kos.
Captain Ed provides a link to Jason Zingerle's article in The Plank, "The Bogosphere's Smoke-Filled Backroom."
Zingerele reprints Kos's letter asking his fellow lib bloggers to keep silent about his (Kos's)and Armstrong's "sitation."
Here's the last paragraph, "My request to you guys is that you ignore this for now. It would make my life easier if we can confine the story. Then, once Jerome [Armstrong] can speak and defend himself, then I'll go on the offensive (which is when I would file any lawsuits) and anyone can pile on. If any of us blog on this right now, we fuel the story. Let's starve it of oxygen. And withouth the "he said, she said" element to the story, you know, political journalists are paralyzed into inaction. Thanks, Markos."
Zingerele adds, "So far, Kos's friends in the fiercely independent blogosphere seem to have displayed a sheep-like obedience to his dictat."
Kos's letter is a gem. His "I'm exploring the possibility of lawsuits," is hilarious since the two conservative bloggers he attacks for bringing up "pay for play" on Kos, are Glen Reynolds at Instapundit.com, and John Hindraker at Powerlineblog.com, both highly regarded lawyers.

/PJ - Captain's Quarters has email of Markos asking other lefty blogs to play hush hush over all this. Follows:

"The YearlyKos media people have already forced corrections at Slate and NY Times (Suellentrop's blog). There has been some serious overreach by the few outlets that picked up this story (which as I mentioned before has been shopped around). It was interesting how this one piddly-ass story was used to try and smear Jerome, me, AND YearlyKos.
So the only paper to run this as a news story is the disgraceful NY Post. Others who picked up on it have had to backtrack from their original sensationalistic claims.
I am exploring legal options against some of the wingnut bloggers who are claiming I'm syphoning netroots money into consultants and my own pockets. Note how Glenn Reynolds is fueling it with his typical passive aggressive, "I don't think it's a big deal, but let me provide links to everyone who thinks this is THE BIGGEST STORY EVER!"
And Jerome's case, if it could be aired out, is a non-story (he was a poor grad student at the time so he settled because he had no money). Jerome can't talk about it now since the case is not fully closed. But once it is, he'll go on the offensive. That should be a couple of months off.
This story will percolate in wingnut circles until then, but I haven't gotten a single serious media call about it yet. Not one. So far, this story isn't making the jump to the traditional media, and we shouldn't do anything to help make that happen.
My request to you guys is that you ignore this for now. It would make my life easier if we can confine the story. Then, once Jerome can speak and defend himself, then I'll go on the offensive (which is when I would file any lawsuits) and anyone can pile on. If any of us blog on this right now, we fuel the story. Let's starve it of oxygen. And without the "he said, she said" element to the story, you know political journalists are paralyzed into inaction.
Thanks, markos"
