Cleland, who flew in from his Georgia home yesterday for the event, offered a scathing rebuke of those who have questioned Murtha's patriotism."We need to end the Swift Boat attacks against men like John Murtha and wring their necks like a chicken," Cleland said. "We're not going to let them swift-boat John Murtha."
"Wring their necks like a chicken". That's not just rhetoric. That's a threat of violence. Does this man realize what he is saying?
The opponents, though, insist they are not affiliated with the Swift Boat veterans.
That's true, but it doesn't matter. I've seen up close and in person how the mind of the average Democrat perceives truth: If a Democrat says it, it must be true, even if it's not true. That's how Murtha's supporters think. That's what we're up against.
Idle threats from a true Democrat War Hero (one who got drunk, pulled the pin on a grenade, and blew his limbs off, and now is touted as a "War Hero").
Get a grip.......
yup...drunk and playing with grenades is no way to go through life. Max done it again.
I'm not too scared of a man who discarded his own limbs out of sheer stupidity and then tried to pass it off as a battle wound.
Cleland's a loud-mouthed, empty-headed punk, filled with guilt and remorse over what he did to himself, getting a much-unearned 'war hero' status ranking. He's a butt-wipe.
You should read the entire article to see the other rocket scientists stumping for Murtha in Johnstown...
Cleland couldn't even save himself, how the heck does he propose to save someone else then?
With what?
I did; it's pathetic.
>>stumping for Murtha in Johnstown<<
Heh heh...you said "stumping"
Cleland, sit down and shut up. Oh, I forgot, he's already sitting down.
"Gary Fulton, a Conemaugh Township school teacher, was dressed in his Air Force uniform and holding a sign that read, "Boat liars are wrong and mean."
LOL. How old is this guy, 6?
"Speaking at Parker's gathering were Lt. Col. Craig Minnick, who served in Iraq, and another veteran. Minnick said he had no objection to Murtha publicizing his opinions, but then described the congressman as being a traitor.
"I have a problem with an elected representative who lies and distorts the facts," Minnick said."
What he said.
Ever since Max Cleland was exposed and trounced at the voting booth, he been a bitter prop for the left.
I don't think Max will be around much longer. He looks like he already has one foot in the grave....
'When I warned [the French] that Britain would fight on alone whatever they did, their generals told their Prime Minister and his divided Cabinet, "In three weeks England will have her neck wrung like a chicken." Some chicken; some neck.'
Winston Churchill
Grenade dropper.
Excellent quote !
Q: What does Max Cleland stand for?
A: Nothing.
Grenade Milker

"Cleland done blowed up real good."
'When I warned [the French] that Britain would fight on alone whatever they did, their generals told their Prime Minister and his divided Cabinet, "In three weeks England will have her neck wrung like a chicken." Some chicken; some neck.' Winston ChurchillGreat line! I added it to the post (and attributed it to you). Thanks! -Leo-
Boy, that quote is a homerun.
Cleland uses his injuries to his political advantage, in fact every chance he gets! He put them into play, and goes around telling everyone he is a "wounded vet", but not telling them how he got wounded. I would not wish his injuries on my worst enemy, but fair is fair. You live by the sword, and you die by same. To hell with Cleland and his ilk! I'm a VietNam vet too, but I don't run around acting stupid, and there are a bunch more like me than there are like him. Thank goodness! So those folks can poke fun at him too, and I think you might need to chill a little bit.
"We need to end the Swift Boat attacks against men like John Murtha and wring their necks like a chicken," Cleland said.
I cannot believe a sane person would say this out loud, in front of other people. *shaking head*
A sane person didn't say it.
Yes it is! Thanks for the ping.
You are right of course. ;*)
Ann Coulter already wrung the life out of this retard. LOL
That's a real Cleland steamer.
LOL! Gotta love Ann.
I like the blog...yours?Yes, I started the blog. I'm a parent of a deployed Iraqi soldier, and Murtha's acting as judge, jury and executioner of the Marines in the Haditha incident was the last straw. I've added volunteers since I started on May 19th, and one of them is a research specialist who was instrumental in toppling Tom Daschle. Nothing would make me happier than to have Murtha's big fat backside handed over to him in November.
.....We need to end the Swift Boat attacks against men like John Murtha and wring their necks like a chicken," Cleland said. ....
Hey sombich......walk over here and say that!!
Thanks for posting this. I think Cleland is a kook - if he wants to use his war injuries to his advantage (wrongly I believe), that's his call. But some of the comments on this thread go over the top...
For the record, the purpose of this article was not to call attention to Clelland's injuries--only his stupid rhetoric.
Sure - just commenting on some of the posts here - not the article itself...
Use it freely.
I'm sure that Linda would not complain.
I'm a parent of a deployed Iraqi soldier
I saw that and wanted to make sure it was you before I said,
"Please thank your soldier for me and let him know that the vast majority of the American people support him/her and the mission."
Thank you as the proud parent for raising such an outstanding citizen!!! Prayers up for you and yours.
How does Cleland propose to wring anyone's neck with his one arm and no legs? No dignity whatsoever.
If I am wrong, I am wrong. As I understand it, his were not combat wounds but resulted from gratuitous and obviously unwise handling of a grenade in a non-combat situation. Ranks up there with gratuitously wandering in traffic, doesn't it?
What's the saying about people who would rather climb a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth?Which would you sooner believe - a bunch of faxes which match perfectly with the default settings of Microsoft Word but purport to have been written in 1972 and whose putative author cannot vouch for the "documents" because he is conveniently dead, or a book whose author stands on his hind legs and testifies to his own experience? And who is backed up by the entire chain of command in which he was embedded . . .
Thank you kindly for your words of encouragement. It means a lot to me and a lot to my son and his comrades to have the support of those for whom he is sacrificing.
Thank you!

Have you ever heard the clip? There was a long dramatic pause between "some chicken" and "some neck." to which a mere semicolon does not do justice. I want to say there was audience laughter followed by the real punchline.
