UAC Will Hang Bin Laden on September 10th in Los Angeles
This is a heads up, the United American Committee is planning an event in Culver City California in front of the radicalized King Fahd Mosque at 10980 Washington Blvd in Culver City, Sunday afternoon September 10th, 2006 at 4:00 PM in commemoration of 9-11. We will be building gallows and hanging an effigy of Osama bin Laden in front of the mosque and asking the leaders of the mosque to push for a fatwa, an Islamic verdict, condemning bin Laden and other terrorists by name. The King Fahd Mosque in Culver City was attended by and gave aid and comfort to two of the 9-11 hijackers (source 911 commission report). They have had Imams indited on terror charges, and this mosque has also produced other terrorists including the former Army Sergeant who threw grenades into a tent which killed his fellow soldiers in Iraq. This Saudi funded mosque continues to preach hatred and violence. The U.A.C. is going there with open arms to them if they wish to embrace America and democracy, however, last time a peaceful rally was held at this location one of the mosque members yelled that our soldiers who were brutally tortured and beheaded in Iraq “got what they deserved because they were Infidels in a Muslim land.” As always, we more than welcome Muslims to join us in this event if they desire. More information on this event will be forthcoming.

I hope these guys have lots of security. I sincerely mean that. They may be out to provoke a response from the Muslims, I don't know, but they may well get one.
(And then the news media will put the "well, the Muslims were feeling oppressed and lashed out at the eeeeeeevil racists" angle. Bank on it.)

Great idea on the surface, but things could get really, really ugly. Hope they're prepared.

Why on earth do you say that? UAC has rallied there many times before and it's freedom of speech, if you desire to see our freedom crushed then you can get the heck out of the U.S.

I didn't say they shouldn't do it. I said that I did not think it would happen. Hanging people in effigy isn't done a lot in the USA. I'd expect they might need a permit for this demonstration, and that it would not be granted.
Don't mistake my prediction for anything other than a prediction. As for your suggestion that I "get the heck out of the U.S., I'll skip that. I didn't serve in our military just to leave my country.
Sure, but they better check local ordinances against open fires to make sure it's properly contained, and they better have a receipt for the Koran.
But I think that would just be counterproductive. What they are planning is pretty ballsy, but it's directed at Osama, not at Islam's Holy Book. I predict that local muslims would get a lot more upset over that than hanging Osama in effigy.
And if I'm wrong about that, and they're all Al Quaeda sympathizers, then why bother burning the Koran? Torch the f*ckin' mosque.

It seems to me that the protesters should ask what the King Faud Mosque members are doing in the USA. Muslims in an Infidel land...they must deserve the same fate as our soldiers in Iraq, by this logic.
Lots of guts. They'd be better off doing it in a shall issue state like Texas or Tennessee.

You can't do that. The only things that can be hung in effigy and burned are American flags and pinyatta's of GWB. This is just going to create more terrorists.
Don't you see, if we just started dressing our women in burkahs, taking trips to the rock, and sending our kids to Israel strapped with explosives, the Moslims would love us and accept us. Please, can't we just get along?
