I was Wondering About This.
And Hugh Hewitt provided the answer...(h/t no2liberals).
I commented over at GCP(#436) last week about the extraordinarily large amounts of search-engine hits that this website was getting, all directed to a specific article that I had posted about ABC's upcoming Path to 9-11.
Interesting thing happened today. Apparently some national organiztion is researching blogger opinion on next weeks TV show Path to 9/11″ (which is very critical of Clinton, which makes me suspect that it is the donks that are out trying to do research to see if 9/11 is going to poll well for the mid-terms). Anyway, starting around 10:30 this am, I started getting hits for a cut and paste article of the TV show that I blogged a week or so ago. Its been about 200 hits from search engines and IPs from all over the country. Sitemeter is a gas!
Well, according to Mr. Hewitt, here's what it was all about:
The story here is the backlash that the Disney/ABC execs experienced was completely unexpected and is what caused them to question themselves and make these changes at all. Had this been the Bush Admin pressuring, they wouldn't have even taken the call. The execs and studio bosses are dyed in the wool liberals and huge supporters of Clinton and the Democratic Party in general.

So, I am confused. They did change it after all?
Doesn't seem like they caved much at all.
IMHO the fact that Rush got/was given an advance copy of the original version made it difficult to edit without a trace.
He would/should be all over pointing out any changes.
Thanks for Rush - I find some of his show boring but it's for these situations he is a very valuable ally.
I do not easily willingly watch network "documentaries".
Yeah, I was startled to read the positive reviews from Conservatives, and I imagine the libs at ABC just figured it would smear Bush because, well, you know, that's what movies and TV shows DO. So it's no surprise the execs were in a mad panic to protect their personal Ba'al, Clinton.
