You're questioning their Patriotism, aren't you?
none are unassailable... except our beloved, intelligent, and brave military.
First we saw Michael J. Fox and his TV pitches in several states supporting Democrats and their stance on stem cell research. The public was supposed to be shocked, and the Republicans were supposed to give up in the face of this poor man with a terrible disease. However the new media wasnt afraid to criticize Mr. Fox for his politically motivated stances.
No one on the Right should be afraid to take any liberal to task when they step into the public arena. If you put yourself out there then be prepared to defend your positions.
The Dems have also been recruiting candidates that are war veterans, some with missing limbs (a la Max Cleland) to give the party legitamacy on national security.
Just today I came across this posting at Daily Kos insinuating that John McCain (himself a POW) isnt allowed to criticize John Kerrys comments about the stupidity of US soldiers, because he was speaking in IL-6th where Tammy Duckworth, an Iraq war veteran, who has lost both legs, is running against Republican Peter Roskam.
The Democrats act shocked when you criticize their unassailable candidates, ignore them, and know that regardless of who is on the other side of the issue, you need to stand up for your beliefs. Thank these veterans for their service and sacrifice, and leave it at that.
