About my incendiary EXCLUSIVE report on Monday concerning the Mexican paramilitary force on the Arizona border:I already had two official, unimpeachable sources and one unofficial source for the story I published on Monday. I vetted it thoroughly before I published it, but I could not - and would not - reveal my sources' names. That brought me a lot of heat from skeptics. In the last 48 hours I've since been called a conspiracy theorist, liar, fraud, charlatan, hack, and it goes downhill from there. But I stand by my work. Our regular readers here at ER know how much research we put into our material, and you've come to trust us. But others who don't know us, or our reputation, have been strangely, bitterly vicious. I can only assume it's because the article was that dangerously volatile.
The story is all over the web now, published on hundreds of websites, linked in hundreds of chat rooms, discussion boards, and emails. And apparently, I've done my work well. This email came to me this morning from a government contact in Arizona:
We keep finding out just how many places are picking this stuff up. It's like a Malibu fire, it spreads like you wouldn't believe. and those people tell other people and so on and so on. Now the Maricopa County Attorney and the Arizona Governor, not to mention State legislature are all over the story.Also, this morning, there is finally official acknowledgment of my article. Joe Westmoreland, a congressional liaison for Customs and Border Protection, issued a statement this morning confirming that the Mexican paramilitary force was in uniform, and wearing ballistic vests, helmets, carrying automatic weapons, and moving in an aggressive military formation. Exactly as I'd reported on Monday.
I was told by the Border Patrol Information office that no one, other than me, was inquiring about the incident after the initial story broke last Friday. I expect the MSM will belatedly jump on the bandwagon. I'm just glad that the American people now know the truth about the utter fiascoes on our border.

As you know, I doubted the initial implication that Mexico had sent its own military force over the border, although I don't believe I was "rabid" about it, nor was I angered at the person who wrote the article, just skeptical.
I didn't find it hard to believe the people were in uniform, just that they were official mexican military.
The use of the term "paramilitary" force in the official statement seems to confirm that others also don't believe this was a sanctioned Mexican military operation.
Of course, the idea of having our military on our border and being probed like this is highly disconcerting. But there is a fundamental difference between foreign individuals wearing military gear, and an actual invasion by a foreign government military.

Thank you, CharlesWayne. The author never said it was the Mexican Army. I think the frustration for me was that I did the author a disservice by only publishing an excerpt from her whole article. People were not reading the whole thing but attacking her work based upon the 3 short paragraphs I excerpted. If you read her whole article, it did a fantastic job of supporting the author's theory that the paramilitary force was Los Zetas. I felt horrible that she was maligned (and it wasn't just here at FR) because the story was groundbreaking in that it would force the American people to see the perfidy of our government for themselves. People couldn't see past the incendiary nature of the headline to grasp the deeper implications of what it means to allow incursions like this on our border.
We need Black Jack Pershing and a young George Patton to chase these hombres down.
Hate to write this but,,,we don't have the cajones to do that anymore with the wussies we have in Washington, D.C.
I'm not a fan of flashy headlines, because they can cloud people's perceptions and cause them to pre-judge what they are reading.
And you are right, the author never claimed the troops were mexican military, that was simply an interpretation.
I believe people are over looking the main question here; Regardless of what the NG did, who were these people and what the hell were they doing in our country?

That's exasperating from my viewpoint. Anyone who has been exposed to that country, its police or military, or even the run of the mill illegal alien would have no problem believing that they would do this.
It is a lawless country, where aggressive intimidation is routine!
Maybe people in the Mid-West and East don't understand this because of a lack of exposure to it. But out here almost everyone is aware of it. It's a central feature of hispanic societies - one that Anglo society attenuated and lost a long time ago (a process which has now crossed over from attenuation to outright reversal due to the feminization of the institutions over the last 40 years).
It was just what the article said - a probe, to see what the response would be like. They knew that there would be no retaliation in the aftermath, they just wanted to see how quickly the retreat would commence, and when the BORTAC SRT would show up.
That's it. That's all. Just as naked an act of aggession as you can imagine, and not the first.
Why assume that it wasn't? Is it that hard to conceive of in the current climate?
Kind of sad when the NG has to run with their tail between their legs. They were never provided with the kind of leadership at the top to get the job done.
Nah. Sucker those *other people* into coming deeper into the US, cut off their escape route, or better let them invite more of their pals to come and then close the back door.
Then kill them all. Even the NG has artillery.
