Most Rudy supporters are Republicans who are more interested in getting their party back into power than to find someone who is actually willing to stand up and do what is right.

That's my observed opinion.

There is vast chasm between those who consider themselves conservatives first and those who fancy themselves republicans first.

“As President, I will not sign any treaty that impedes, in any way, the Second Amendment rights of Americans.

Only judges who have a demonstrated commitment to interpret the Constitution as our founders intended will be nominated to the federal bench.

I would ask Congress to send me for my signature, legislation to repeal the D.C. gun ban, legislation to allow reciprocity among states with concealed carry rights and other pieces of legislation to restore rights that prior administrations have eroded.

In fact, I authored the Hunter amendment, Rol call 241 in 1999, to allow DC residents to keep and bear arms.”

Would Hunter sign/support legislation repealing the '34, '68 '87 gun control acts and reverse (on day one) the executive order banning the importation of certain "assault weapons".

He answered that(pretty much) in the interview... "I would ask Congress to send me for my signature, legislation to repeal the D.C. gun ban, legislation to allow reciprocity among states with concealed carry rights and other pieces of legislation to restore rights that prior administrations have eroded."

"Any sensible supporter of the 2nd Amendment would never support Rudy." I concur 100%.

Well, I'd support him as mayor of NYC...but that's only because the city is so messed up that there's little bad he'd do that isn't already being done (even more true when Dinkins was Mayor). He was worlds of improvement over what was going on then, and the city government thoroughly needed some elbows thrown around. That said, he's inappropriate for Presidential office.

You are 100% right about that. Some on here will blast you for what you said. However, wheat you said is the truth. We need to elect a conservative- not a RINO like Rudy.

I thank Representative Hunter for being an articulate and forthright spokesman in defending our right to keep and bear arms.

"I support Hunter first, but would also support Thompson or Gingrich, but JulieAnnie and the other two would drive me to a third party. They will never get my vote unless they made radical about faces and even then I wouldn't trust them."

This statement that you made above is the number one reason that I think Guiliani, McCain or Romney will lose if they are the nominee. People will only be able to trust them if they show thier true sides, and most will not like them if they do that.

Gingrich has baggage, but he also has name recognition. I think he could win inspite of his baggage because he shows his true identity. People can trust him. Thompson is a good man. I have looked at this votes and I see no reason to say anything against him.

Hunter has 4 things going for him at the moment. 1. Unlike Gingrich or Thompson, he has announced. 2. No baggage. 3. Consistent conservative voting record. 4. The type and amount of legislation he has written over the years.

I see what you mean about this man.

Duncan Hunter for President 2008!

It will probably take an act of biblical proportion to get this guy on the news though.

>That would certainly help if we had something like that to send out.<

If such an inclusive document would materialize, please let us know. We Duncan Hunter supporters have contacts in many states which could make good use of such a document. Thank you.
