It's a sad day for the KOmmies and much of the rest of the Left. The Duke Lacrosse players have been completely exonerated by the North Carolina Attorney General. Much of the Left, especially those in the academia, had a lot at stake in the guilt of those Lacrosse players. Rich white privileged boys who MUST be guilty. Except they weren't despite the accusations of guilt by the Left including those infamous 88 Duke profs. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the weight of justice is about to come down hard on corrupt D.A., Mike Nifong. Meanwhile much of the rest of the Left is looking like the utter fools that they are. You can see the KOmmies mourn this turn of events in this THREAD titled, "DUKE PLAYERS EXONERATED." So let us now watch the KOmmies angered at the exoneration of innocents in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondents, reminding folks that there are MANY Mike Nifongs in the halls of justice around the country, is in the [brackets]:

As was clear to many of us from about Day Three, the entire case against these guys was bullshit.

I think the absence of a diary on the exoneration in these pages on the exoneration of the Duke students speaks volumes about kossacks' class prejudice, envy, and conditional belief in the rule of law.
[That is because the KOmmies wish this event would just go away because it made them look like complete FOOLS.]
Those many of you who assumed they were guilty based on their skin color, status as college athletes, and alleged wealth, SUCK OUT LOUD. You don't believe in due process, you only do smirks. You don't believe in the presumption of innocence when the perp is the member of a "guilty class." You are full of hate and fear that someone might differ from you and nonetheless be a decent human being. I'm trying to figure out the difference between you and Don Imus, and all I'm coming up with is that Imus, at least, can be funny sometimes.

Quite frankly, the charges were plausible. I know the type - I was bullied by these pricks all through high school. They got out of trouble - this time. White, spoiled white kids with powerful daddies that bail them out don't stay out of trouble for long.

The story--the boys could afford good lawyers. Poor white kids go to keggers or bachelor parties and end up with strippers on their laps. But the difference? Rich boys could afford the best legal defense, which brought all kinds of pressure to bear.
[That plus the inconvenient truth that the facts totally EXONERATED them. Remember they were today declared not merely "not guilty" but INNOCENT.]
This was an unethical prosecutor, who should been fired when he withheld evidence. It's crazy that it took so long to resolve this case.

I wonder how "innocent" they would have been if they had been scholarship basketball players at a historically black college as opposed to rich white kids from Long Island and Montgomery County?

I saw the press conference. The self congrats of how "great these boys are" was a little sickening.

This case really pushed my buttons though for a lot of reasons that are probably best resolved on a therapist's couch.

These charges were entirely plausible. Anyone male who hasn't had his penis removed CAN commit sexual assault. Even without a penis, such a male could use a foreign object.

I figured this would draw you out of your hiatus. I hate Imus too, but I’m on his side in this. The hypocrisy of the left’s opinion of the two events is staggering.
They have so much sympathy for the basketball players who were “victims” of a stupid joke, but have nothing but contempt for these lacrosse players who were real victims of a prosecutor willing to ruin their lives for political gain.
I always thought that basketball players were supposed to be tough, and people who played lacrosse were wimps. The basketball player expressed their “deep hurt” about Imus’s bad joke while these lacrosse players had to endure being called deviants and compared to Hitler for the last year. And the lacrosse players handled it with grit. Guess that’s one more assumption out the window.

There was a case in the 90’s I recall where a group of feminazis at a university posted pictures of random men around campus with the caption “Potential Rapist.” As I recall, the “ladies” involved were exonerated of libel charges because of this exact reasoning.
Bad assumption. Lax is a tough sport and the players are too.
Regarding Imus, he should be punished in the same way that all those rappers are for saying the same things, or worse.
Regarding Nifong, that NC State Atty better follow up on his tough rhetoric and nail him but good! The saddest part is that all those "pawns" who voted for him probably still support him at this point. Keep them off any jury that convenes around this travesty...

Not to mention the approximately $1,000,000 it cost each of the accused boy's family for legal expenses. I don't care how rich those families may be, I hope they successfully sue the state of NC and Nifong personally for many millions more than they spent on lawyers. I would also like to see Nifong in prison for, oh let's say 10 years at least, just as a warning to other unscrupulous prosecutors not to try getting re-elected by falsely prosecuting unpopular people who they know are innocent.
