Oh my. What an utter shock to my ego! I am merely a figment of someone elese’s imagination? The horror, the horror!
Note to Great Originator of my life, please start imagining a way more interesting sex life and a much much much larger paycheck for me.
The way I understand it, the creator of an avatar is suppose to invest characteristics in their own creation. My comment was not an assault on your ego. I made it to suggest a connection between the content I posted and the illusionary aspects of avatars in general. MNJohnie is your avatar, not you. It is your FreeRepublic identity, not your real identity. This is how I know you... this is what you are to me. This is a reality not intended to belittle your avatar or your actual identity. In any case, best of luck with your future sex and finances.
An avatar is an Internet user's representation of himself or herself, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games, a two-dimensional icon (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities, or a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs or currently on the wikipedia. The term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user.
My avatar, humint - AKA human intelligence - was created by me as a goal and a reminder. Human beings, with all of our flaws, have the capacity to be extremely intelligent. With that in mind, I have come to believe genius is an acquired characteristic requiring time, talent and luck to develop... Therefore, my avatar has a purpose and existence wholly separate from its creator. Avatars are not an origin of life; instead, they are an abstract extension of it.
